Strong hand distance from the bore is about the same. But look where you can put your hands....sure the this figure is accurate as to how the gun's parts relate to each other but with the slide being inside of the frame on the CZ and the backstrap running "in" more you can get a higher hold. This would be a monster. It's not carry optics legal though. SAO. SAO is legal in IDPA Carry Optics because it is legal in ESP. From Appendix C- Carry Optics: 1.1 Handguns permitted: A. Handguns, associated modifications, restrictions, holsters, magazine carriers, calibers, start condition, and division capacity shall be compliant with ESP Division requirements, except as it relates to sights, lasers and overall weight. I can see how perhaps some segment of the competition shooting population wants a CZ frame but with a straight pull 19/2011 style trigger, but you would be hard pressed to convince me that there are enough of those people to make something like this successful. This isn't much (if any) cheaper than a CZ TSO, nor a double stack Rock Island or Para Tomasie. If one wants a true 2011, edges are still available from Dawson for slightly more. I perhaps could have seen a market for a 2011 modular frame style gun that accepted CZ slides and firing controls, but not sure on what DW is offering. You are definitely not the only one. There are at least two of us.
Torf
I think it looks more like a modernized Browning Hipower with 1911 trigger than a CZ. In that context we could have had the DWX in 1935 if it not had been for some patent issues related to the design of the Hipower that forced FN to put parts of the trigger mechanism in the slide. Midwest3Gunner
I was set on a Honcho, but this is an attractive option, cheaper, no mag tuning, and the CZ ergos really fit my hand well. Hopefully holster options are decent, I'd really like a Safariland 6390. I'd be upgrading from a Glock. I dont really see this as a solution to a nonexistent problem IMO, it's just a cool new gun. New designs/ engineering is really exciting after only seeing the same thing time after time.

avastcosmicarena
Ah, so this is where all the other DWX threads vanished to. I know this specific gun is for Limited, but I hope they release some alternate versions. I want to see threaded barrels/compensators and optics. It seems like they could make this into an interesting 3 gun open gun/USPSA open gun without too much effort.

Honestly probably fits in the 1911 section better than the cz section, way more parts compatibility.
Superkaratemonkeyfighter
I guess this gun might have its place somewhere. I’m just trying to think what I would change on the tactical sport orange to make improvements ,and this gun doesn't have any of those.

The only way to compare bore line height is to measure the bore line from a pistol feature that fixes your hand position (like the beavertail). I've stopped trying to correct people on this, it's just futile. Just like most other gun-related myths on the internet. 1911vm
The bore axis is totally Irrelevant. I started using my LAZER gun. ZERO recoil . And the green lazer upgrade made the gun lighter by 25oz and helped me loose 25 lb .
