  1. I was able to order a case of 3600 124 V2 on 1/13. Order still processing, but I did order over the weekend etc.
  2. I'll probably be putting one on an open gun and a LO gun eventually.
  3. Infinity sold? Is that where the weird limited drop Gunbuilder came from?
  4. Have you looked at the FTP Alpha 3 at all? I see they just came out with a short body to fit the RTS2 foot print, or the OG is similar to the Romeo 3 footprint.
  5. This is a good thread: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/303516-square-body-middy-first-build/
  6. I loaded 3.4 gr TG with 147 Blue bullets, 135-140 PF and they shot fine. A little dirty in the gun, but didn't notice much for smoke. I also don't shoot indoors. I did pick up some SportPistol, which is supposed to feel a lot like TG, just nicer to coated bullets.
  7. I was just curious, wasn't thinking seriously about one, I just haven't seen any in a while and was wondering if they were still around.
  8. Just curious if SPS still has a dealer in the US? Pretty neat open guns floating around from them.
  9. I have an aluminum grip (Cheely E2) on a 6in 40. I wanted to keep the lightweight pointy-ness of the poly with a brass magwell, but the better ergos. Been shooting Major, no problems so far.
  10. Atlas plates do have a adj rear sight plate, so if you get it milled, you could still slap a iron sight plate on when you wanted to shoot true Limited. We'll have to get a list going of all the different plate systems.
  11. We were just talking about this in another thread. Hopefully this isn't too much thread drift, but what plates would be best to get our slides milled for that already have Bomar cuts in them?
  12. Yeah, I'm going to finish the season (1 more local) with limited and then start looking hard for either open or do something with my limited gun. A new top end is a good idea, the frame doesn't care what caliber it is, just the ramp profile. If a new top end is a 1k, it makes you wish you could offload a 40 top end and 7 Infinity mags and break even.
  13. Sorry, I meant a bunch of different 2011 configurations. You had 5, 5.4, 6in barrels, bushing or bull, long, short, intermediate dust covers. Sight trackers, island barrels, poly grips, aluminum, and steel. Thumb rest or not, racker or not. I just don't see that mix in LO. I shot a TSO for a season, I really liked it but I wanted to tinker more, so I switched back to a 2011. I would bet everything settles out at a 4.6 slide full dustcover with a steel grip as being the most common setup.
  14. Right, I'm just saying that there isn't as much point of repurposing the Limited guns as there was to just get a production gun milled for a dot to shoot Carry Optics. Another thing, in Limited, there was a whole bunch of different gun configurations and it was fun to compare them all. It'll be interesting to see if there's as much variation in LO, or if it'll turn into this such and such setup works best for 9 minor, just choose what optic you like best.
  15. Right, so what happens to all the 40 cal guns? They just sit in the safe forever? I don't think its worth it to mill my slide for a dot, but YMMV. In Standard division in IPSC, major has a minimum bullet diameter of .400" for Major PF. How do our European friends deal with 40 dying off? Is Standard Major facing the same problem?
  16. So I shot my first match since Oct '21 this past weekend. I promoted at work in March '22 and got super busy and couldn't make it out, then I decided to hurt my back right at the start of this season. I'm finally feeling better and decided to go to a match. Showed up, 32 shooters, and I was the only one shooting Limited Major... 2 years ago CO and Limited were about equal. I'm shooting a old TSS Fat Free, gun shoots great when I do my part. I was saving to have a new custom 6in gun built, but now I'm not so sure. I'd sell it to fund an Open gun, but I don't even know if there is a market for it? Long story short, my favorite division is dying and I don't know what to do before hoping off to the dark side? I have a bunch of factory 40 that would sit forever if I didn't shoot it...
  17. I think FTP Alpha 3s have 6, 8 or 10 moa options. There's a thread on here where FTP keeps a list of what's available updated. Either the Open gun subforum or Accesories/Gear subforum.
  18. Anybody been brave enough to chop one up and try turn it into an open gun? Would you have to go cone comp?
  19. I hear you on PTG, I ordered a action from them last summer for a custom bolt gun build and just got it last week, lead time was supposedly 7 days since it was in stock when I ordered. Action looks great tho, and I'd probably buy another.
  20. Looks great! Are you going to flush up the barrel with the slide and recrown?
  21. Awesome, thanks for taking the time to weigh it! @outerlimits
  22. Huh, that's more than I thought it was going to be, and thats just with sights? Do you shoot 165s? And awesome blaster by the way!
