What do you do for a living?

So my best (but not current) job was a bartender in a "gentlemens' club."

The dancers were fun, single ladies just working their way through "college"

I worked at a "club" while I was in college, I also taught classes in my degree department. It was funny how in 5 years I never ran into any of my coworkers at school

The only downside I can remember is that my house started to resemble a cheap hotel in the sense that everything was glued down to prevent it from walking out :surprise:

Advertising & design...get to work out of home thanks to DSL and FedEx and have collected a few checks as a folk/bluegrass musician in recent years...the pay is better in advertising, the miles are fewer and the hours are better, BTW. Self-employed for most of my career so all you retirees remain my personal heroes

Journalism, photography and marketing/pr have paid the bills in the more distant past.

Retired for the last 9 years 10 months and 28 days. Last job was as a full time computer operator and part time Base Marksmanship Coordinator for the Air National Guard.

Hey, I get to retire in 9 years, 10 months and 28 days.

For the last 27 years, 5 months and 14 days I've worked for the world's largest manufacturer of surgical sutures. I am a tooling design engineer, technology owner for needle manufacturing tooling, technology co-owner for attachment tooling; and I'm currently holding the reins over our North American Tool & Die manufacturing operations as well as the machine shop. In my early days, I almost got fired for working in the shop one night (Big no-no, we're a union shop). We've built some really neat gun parts, on the side, in those years.

Was an Electrician for 17 years. Now I'm Production Manager for EcoForm. We make plastic coated formboard for the concrete industry. After stripping your forms you can reuse this stuff quite a few times. Less trees used for formboard, less money spent on formboard. Ecofriendly, Economical. And the crew I work with, are a great group of people. Also the proud and tired father of three little girls ages 7, 5, and 1 on the 16th. They are the best!

I have been in the printing business for over 25 yrs. currently running printing presses and bindery equipment for my family's company Digitone Graphics in Chattanooga, TN. I'm also the janitor, in a small company you gotta wear more than one hat! We print the nicest score sheets you've ever seen.

So that's where the scoresheets for the Toys for Tots match came from......very nice.

Currently full time nursing student, part time match director.

Before that part time newspaper photographer, loafer and match director.

Along side that in the early years at the paper, part time in a camera store, doing everything from quality control of purchased second hand equipment and in shop repairs, to counter and phone sales, shipping and traveling to/working camera shows on the weekend with my boss.

Before that: Stints in a college cafeteria, as a freelance editorial photographer, a convenience store manager, as an EMT for a transport service, as a volunteer EMT for several First Aid & Rescue Squads....

Technical Director, Project Manager, CAD Designer, Lighting Designer for concert tours, business meetings, conventions, etc.

Basically if you want a stage designed/built, I do it.

I was a roadie for a while, but got burnt out on an Oak Ridge Boys tour years ago.

Oh, I also run Front of House and monitor mixers, and set up large screen video/data projection systems.

Before that, bodyguard for celebs.

Also, US Navy Submarine vet shooting big bullets. Torpedos!
