  1. A number of gun-related items were left on stage six at the 2013 SureFire/STI Texas State MultiGun Championships. If you're missing something from the match, contact me via email and describe what it is that you lost and any identifying marks on the item(s) and I will get it/them returned to you. -Chet cpolo@austin.rr.com
  2. I am running the C-More Railway. I like it for the familiarity aspect in that it's what I have on my pistols.
  3. Let her go. Find someone new and better. I've never worked a job I hated. I've never kept a relationship where we couldn't each do anything we wanted. You get one chance at life. Make it the best it can be. -Chet
  4. Dawson Precision sells a nifty kit and video so you can do the job yourself. -Chet
  5. Despite our best efforts, he STILL managed to win Steel Master! -Chet
  6. So, if someone signs up for three divisions (which is encouraged in the application form), will the competitor shoot all three on Sunday? And will that be all eight stages in one division and then all eight in your second division and then all eight in your third? I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of how this is possible... -Chet
  7. I just ran out of Dillo Dust this week. Looks like I need to by another mount from LaRue! I don't need another mount, but I sure do needs me some Dillo Dust! I like it on pork ribs and beer can chicken. It's the best pre-made dry rub I've found yet. -Chet
  8. Hi, I'll be visiting the Houston area this weekend and would like to shoot the Steel Challenge match in Friendswood on Sunday. Looking to share a ride with someone from the North Houston/Aldine area. Will gladly offer gas, coffee or grip tape. -Chet
  9. The iPad will never run Adobe Flash (according to Steve Jobs). -Chet
  10. I watched the preview too. I was supprised how much the scope/mount bounced in recoil. I wonder if Johnny has seen highspeed video of the gun being fired. I was thinking the same thing watching the movement in the optic and mount it seemed to bounce all over the place. I would like to see others in slow mo, other platforms also. It would be interesting to see how solid some of the mounts actually are. They all bounce around and wiggle like that. Check out Shred's videos on YouTube. -Chet
  11. Would this be Bianchi Cup style stuff? Yes. NRA Action Pistol = Bianchi Cup. -Chet

    Jazz apples

My daughter picked out some Jazz apples at the store last week. We had never heard of them. From bite number one we were sold. Fantastic! -Chet
  13. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn twice and it was nice. I will stay there again on my next visit. -Chet
  14. At a DJ gig in 2009, the DJ stage was about six feet above the orchestra at a small theatre. There was an angled backdrop behind me made of acoustic tile. I thought to myself, "I'd better not step behind me onto that." Sure enough, the lights go down, the band starts playing and I take a step back, crashing though the backdrop and landing on top of the drummer. My head was in his lap, my ass on his snare and the tall sword/spike of his high hat just outside of my skin on my left side. Three inches over and it would have impaled me. I was seriously fortunate. Lots of brusing but no major puncture wounds. Photos: DJ Stage above the Orchestra Another View The hole I made, looking down on the drum kit -Chet

    Curling

From what I learned this morning, at the club level, this is a fairly common practice. Especially with the Canadians. -Chet

  18. Yeah, although I need to get better about looking at which account I'm logged into before posting. -Chet
  19. Oops. Just did a search and found my answer.
  20. Both Karl & Dave are musicians also (well, Dave's a drummer, not a musician ) [sorry, man, I couldn't help myself!], so there would be some common ground if he goes with either instructor. -Chet
  21. I just got a call from Dave. The new mags are listed here. -Chet
  22. Hi y'all. Well, first, I need to apologize to Trapr, as his video project (the DVD coverage of the 2009 High Plains Shotgun Challenge) is waaaaaaay behind schedule. My next project after that is Kurt's Shotgun Reloading DVD. The problem with the delay has been strictly one of my business model. The two shotgun projects (along with every match DVD that we have ever filmed and/or distributed) were produced with no promise of return and were expensed 100% out of my own pocket. So, then, if a customer hires CompetitionDVD.com to produce a video project and pays in advance, then that project moves to the front of the production schedule. That has been the case currently causing the delay in Trapr & Kurt's projects. To date no "CompetitionDVD.com" DVD release has made a dime of profit. Not a single one. Not even close. However, we've profited a small amount when a big name custom shop or international gun manufacturer or cable TV network has hired us and paid for footage or a completed DVD project. However, these are never "branded" as a CompetitionDVD.com release. You've all seen them, they're just "produced" under the name of their parent company. I apologize again to Trapr and Kurt and all of you that are anxiously awaiting a future release, but I have a wife and a preschooler to feed and clothe . The paying projects get done first. The others will happen. Soon. Please be patient and understanding. Most Sincerely, -Chet
