rustychev
How many magazines on your belt for single stack? Up until area 3 I thought 6 magazines on my belt was more than I needed. On one stage I reached all the way back and grabbed my last mag and finished the stage with 3 rounds in the gun and an empty belt Now I will admit that I dumped a full mag to clear a double feed on a slide lock reload so I had a full mag on the ground but not I am thinking I should have 7 magazines on the belt. So how many magazines is every one running for SS major.
dthomas1003
I carry 5 on my belt and 1 in the gun. I came close once to running dry. I'm also thinking of adding one more.

GregJ
I have 7 mag pouches on my belt, and they are usually filled. Never know. +1 for starting. + a couple of spares in the bag. Edited August 8, 2016 by GregJ
mach1soldier
I carry five plus 1 in the gun. How accurate and smooth are you at reloading?
motosapiens
I carry 5 + 1 in the gun, even tho i have 6 pouches. occasionally I will come across a stage where I think i might need a 6th on the belt. I think it is good to add 2 to whatever you expect to use.... 1 for a malfunction clearance and one for poor shooting that requires an extra unplanned reload. rustychev
Iv only used the 6th one once or twice. Reloads are smooth.
Ed Deegan
Carry 6 on the belt. Only once, when i was a brand new shooter, did I need all 6 (bad stage management on my part). Its been years since I went to number 5 since.
Corey
6 on the belt, 1 in the gun. I barney up out of mag #6 at the MR command.
Hi-Power Jack
I sent my SS off to a great gunsmith, and converted it to Belt Feed - no more mags
2MoreChains
99% of the time 6 mags is plenty for me. Every now and then after looking at a stage I may come to the line with a 7th just in case.

GrumpyOne
SS minor or SS major? LOL!
2MoreChains
SS minor or SS major? LOL! Both actually. For me it doesn't matter, tho for SS-minor if I was concerned about it I might be able to get by with one less mag.

bjones6686
6 mags on my belt. I barney out of the last mag on my belt. I have never used all 49 rounds on a stage yet.lol
js1130146
6 mags on the belt. I barney my last mag and load a full one out of my pocket. If 56 rounds can't get me there, I'm screwed anyways. I keep 3 spares in the bag just in case Edited August 9, 2016 by js1130146
mikeyjones
Looks like I need to get a few more mags based on some peoples' responses here.

Foxj66
Locals, at least 5 on the belt, SS nationals you can easily shoot the match with 4 on the belt.
