  1. Shoot whatever you like. Don't let people convince you. Been there done that. As long as it's a reliable gun with aftermarket support, fits your hand, it's good to go. Everything is preference.

  3. Yes! I know Apolo mentioned the same thing on tuning extractor for 9 major.
  4. Yep, most require extra power extractor spring.
  5. Awesome write-up! Can you elaborate how to tune extractor? How are you opening up the hammer strut hole and by how much?
  6. Your sear completely clearing hammer hooks in double action? Over travel screw move any?
  7. Are you hitting mag release by accident under recoil? Need new mag release spring? The mag release fully hooking on to notch in mag? Mag release is firm and does not wobble when loaded mag inserted?
  8. If possible where you are located, i would just buy a new trigger bar spring plunger assembly. Don't waste your time on that one. Here in the states they are very cheap, $10 https://patriotdefense.com/tanfoglio-witness-trigger-bar-spring-3-7-3-8-3-9-3-10/

    HK45 v7 to v1

Was this a difficult task changing variants?
  10. I achieved this by tti connector and spring kit, but use factory trigger return spring.

Get on hkpro forum, they would know all about this

    Light strikes

Make sure there is enough over travel. Take safety plunger out and see if there are light strikes still. A lot of those modified trigger bars, parts, etc to take out maximum pre and over travel mess up the timing of plunger and striker clearing each other
  13. Use patriot defense firing pin spring and patriot defense firing pin.
  14. Check plunger and where plunger contacts trigger bar. With everything out and only trigger bar in, pull trigger, it should be smooth. Then push trigger bar down, keep it down, pull trigger, it should be smooth.

  16. Round not getting picked up....See if it does it on same mag loaded to 10 rounds vs loaded to 17 rounds. This will tell you if it's spring issue or not.
  17. With slide off, look at the nub. You'll see the area that has too much material and not able to rotate under short arm of sear. Look at the posted video. It's more time consuming because you'll have to take out sear every time but I like to fit by taking off material from sear.
  18. You say slide closes to soon: Check the part of slide stop that contacts notch in slide to see if it's worn/rounded. Check the slide notch that contacts slide stop. Make sure follower is pushing slide stop all the way up.
  19. Every gun is different due to tolerances and it depends on how safety was previously fitted. But since new gun, most likely not. I never had to get new safety going from 2 piece to 1 piece sear. You will most likely have to fit safety though.
  20. All about the same, just make sure it has the boss hanger. Which setup are you considering?
  21. When it happens, does the mag drop free when you hit mag release? The last this happened to me, the follower, instead of pushing up on the slide stop, it skipped off to the right. Therefore it pushed on the side of the slide stop and the mag was pushed to the right side, putting a lot of pressure on right side of trigger bar. Take slide off, put in slide stop. See if you can mimic problem and look inside and see what's happening.
