  1. Those that know me, know this has been a long time coming. Hope this is a helpful little nugget I wrote up. This is just some stuff I like and what I use. Having used just about every part and part combo this is what works for me. I have reasons for each part. I get alot of questions and i hope this finds some well. As always YMMV. @PatriotDefense @johnbu 9mm GT Stroked slide Beveled mag well(transition between mag well helps smooth reloads) Tuned 9mm Extractor(typically factory extractor is 38. 9mm needs more tension for reliability) Polished and Lapped rails. Hammer face angled and polish(smoothes recoil and slide movement) Hammer strut hole opened and smoothed( eliminates spring bind and friction. Also a must for única hammer ( Slide faced and comp(if needed) retimed. Breach Face inner edge chamfer and polish (smooth feeding) Extractor Channel polish( crud gets built up here. This ensures free movement ) Fireing Pin channel polish.(reliable strikes) Slide bottom front Chamfer(reduce's drag on 2nd round and reliable feeding) Slide rear bottom Chamfer(smooths recoil as slide travels over hammer) FPB removal( not needed in open. Reduces FP drag) All before adding parts. My favorite parts list and combos V12 barrel EGD Brass grips(bring weight back into hands) DAA adjustable thumrest, hand checkered by me Henning Mag well Gen 1( design keeps magwell from walking forward) Over sized Safeties, hand checkerd by me( more dexterity) Henning short Trigger(medium spring) PD Light Guide Rod PD Fireing pin(heavy for reliability) Única DA/SA heavy hammer(used as SA only) #patriotdefense bolo disconnector( eliminates pre travel) EGW sear (gives shortest reset) 6-9lb recoil spring (I prefer 8lb) PD 13lb hammer spring( works with heavy hammer and pd parts) PD reduced Power FP spring Xtra power Extractor spring 9mm Extractor PD reduced Sear spring Precision made sear cage pin made by me( eliminates sear cage + sear wobble, and a crisper disengagement on trigger press) Factory polished sear cage( less friction on moving sear) Xtreme G2 racker or Angled G1 racker. Xtreme trigger plunger Factory trigger bar (almost need to own several to pick best one) Over sized mag release(factory) IPSC Alex RTS2 mount 8 MOA RTS2 or 8 MOA slide ride Única Hammer short strut. #dgbullets 115g bullets HS6 or AA7 powder Current Slide/Frame combo Older Limited frame with better checkering and up swept beaver tail GT slide V12 9mm stroked. Also Tanfoglio 40s&w slides will and can to be tuned to run 9mm reliably with a 9mm barrel obviously. The Spare GT barrel that comes with the gun, can also be used with limited slide in conjuction with cone comp. This is basically what you have to do to the GTs and this is thee best parts and parts combos I've used and found. Enjoy.
  2. Does anyone have a link to the Henning trigger job videos? All the links I'm finding are old & dead.... Thanks

  4. Hi Guys, I was trying to buy sights for my Tanfoglio Stock II and some parts from "henningshootsguns . com" But since december no one replies to emails nor phone calls! Did he close down? Can you please recommend any one else I can but this from? or maybe some other good company for Tanfoglio? looking for some good springs, etc. best regards to everyone,
  5. so....still an issue. pre/post travel are both present...more than I want there, but I did it to ensure that it is NOT my issue. rack slide, no finger on trigger, let the slide slam forward = hammer goes to half cock rack slide, no finger on trigger, let slide forward easily = hammer stays at full cock dry fire, rack slide, finger remains on trigger = hammer stays at full cock and trigger resets perfectly rack slide, finger BEHIND trigger holding it forward, slam slide = hammer stays at full cock I'm not sure what the deal here is. I haven't gotten a chance to shoot the gun yet, not sure when I will...but with this issue, I'd rather fix it before bothering to bring this gun to the range with me...as I haev a lot of others i'm working on right now. I've sharpened the sear angles, polished everything up, have some pre/post travel.......what else can I try???
  6. Upon disassembly last night....my trigger return spring decided that it had had enough of my constant shooting and chose to flee. The spring has aggravated me in the past...and, as far as I'm concerened...i'd rather never see it again! So....is goign to the henning flat trigger worth it? I don't shoot competitively...ever, I just plink at the range with some LRN handloads... The gun shoots WAY better than I'm capable of right now, and i don't want to loose that.
  7. I have had my match since October and immediately got rid of the stock sights and put henning's FO front sight and rear blade sight. I have been trying different loads using precision delta FMJ's, Berry's Plated, and SNS lead. Powders I have tried are Accurate No. 5, Power Pistol, and Titegroup. Mixed brass. CCI No. 500 small pistol primers. All are shooting at about 950 fps based off of data (for a pf of about 170-171). I do not have a chrono because I am a college student who would rather buy bullets than bread (and a $100 chrono). The problem is I have been shooting 4 inches high at 15 yards and 10 inches at 30 yards! At first I thought it was me, so I let a friend, the RO on duty, and my dad shoot it, same thing. I have no problem windage wise my groups are straight vertical from the POA. I've been getting by just by aiming low, but it is getting frustrating especially with an upcoming steel challenge on Sunday, and I do not want to adjust my POA for a 35 yard shot. I emailed henning's shop. I haven't gotten a response, but I'm sure they are really busy especially with the expansion of his website and the recent influx in orders because of the p*litical situation. Does anyone have suggestions? Maybe file the bottom of the rear sight to bring it down a little? I don't want to do irreversible damage to my sights though without consulting the community. Should I just live with it and aim lower? Change my load? I just want my limited gun to work!!!!!
