  1. For the people that haven't checked this on their gun, i just figured out my main issue after fitting barrel. Newer gun, notch on top of trigger bar is narrow. Older gun (the dirty one), notch on top of trigger bar is much wider. As the barrel unlocks, it slides back and down. The corners of the lower locking lug are not able to fit deep enough into this notch. This throws off the timing as barrel unlocks/slide comes rearward, beating up the very top edge of locking lugs.
  2. I have ran the oem striker spring with a 13 lb recoil spring with no issues. If I use a 4.5 lb striker spring, I will run a 11 lb recoil spring. With both setups, the recoil spring gets changed often, every 5-6k rounds or so.
  3. Lol exactly. So will IFG take over EAA and everything tanfo be imported by IFG?
  4. I posted earlier in this thread. They did not cover anything. I fitted barrel myself. If i have further issues I'll buy new barrel.
  5. Got gun back from EAA. Tore it apart and upon their reassembly I noticed they did not drop the sear spring leg back down on the safety and left it upright on sear cage; forgot to put hammer pin retaining pin back in so now I have to replace that part myself. Seriously, f*#king newbies, my blind grandpa could of done a better job. After advice from PD and johnbu here on the boards, I believe I have got the barrel fitted properly. Will see outcome here in the next few thousand rounds.
  6. Geez. What are you planning to do?
  7. Yep, I'm going to do all that from what PD told me to do and advice from John here on the board.
  8. Thank you John, will do. I swear, you know everything haha
  9. My experience from another thread: Got off phone with EAA. They stated it was my fault that caused the barrel lugs to wear improperly. They stated the polish job I did on the trigger bar is causing timing issues/hammer to drag/etc. Made me pay for new barrel and trigger bar, with labor. I refused and told them to send gun back. I have another Tanfoglio Stock 2 purchased approximately 2 years ago, with several thousand rounds through it. I swapped barrels and noticed the new barrel also had lock up issues in the old gun; old barrel was fine in the new gun. Therefore, I asked them if there is a possible issue with somewhere on barrel being out of spec. I stated this to them and they completely went overboard, not even addressing the issue, yelling at me saying I did not know what I was doing and I caused all the issues and they do not have any warranty service with any modified firearms. They stated I fired this firearm with all the polish work done to it and I caused the issue when it is a brand new firearm, only fired from factory. Worst experience ever. Don't even bother to send anything to them unless it's a brand new and completely factory. I can see now why everyone in the past has horrible experience with them. I'm going to talk to PD about my issue or just buy new barrel myself.

  11. Ahhhhhh....good eye. Maybe you're right.
  12. I'm going through same exact issue with second stock 2, a brand new gun, zero rounds. Sent it back to EAA and waiting to hear back. Swapped barrel with the old gun, new barrel in old gun still has lock up issues, the barrel lugs must be slightly out of spec. Old barrel in new gun works fine. Will report back.
  13. Pic from lok grips. One of my stock 2 is a 2018 manufacture date but it still uses the old screw hole location. As far as i know, no one has grips for the new screw hole location.
  14. I have a gun with a barrel that has exact same issue, not nearly as severe, and it's brand new with zero rounds through it. Barrel fitment issue for me. It just went back to EAA.
  15. Thanks John, I was always curious about those parts. Going to be interesting to see how it compares to new hammer and sear PD is suppose to come out with.
  16. Using adaptor plate makes the dot sit higher, probably why he didn't do it.
  17. It'll just look like the single side safety that is sold, single side meaning left side safety. But yes, no flush\unica safety for the right side.
  18. He's talking about taking the right side safety off if you're a lefty if you don't want a safety.
  19. I've had this issue. When you say bending the connector right....bending it more outward away from trigger housing?
  20. Haha who knows. If I'm really bored I'll test all the types and post results in the tanfoglio bible thread.
  21. I'm curious, figured I might learn something new if there was actually a reason for the variance.
  22. Anyone with input on tanfoglio 1 wing vs 2 wing interruptor if wanting to stay with factory? Factory 1 wing is on the left, patriot defense bolo is on the right, any particular reason for this?
  23. There is a unica sear now also, wonder if that's a necessity/ideal pair with the unica hammer. And i wonder what interruptor the hammer comes with.
