  1. Mine looked about the same. I tried soaking in Kroil and a Vinegar+Peroxide mix (paracetic acid) with little improvement. Using an Arredondo comp cleaner to scrape the ports was painfully slow. Using the same comp cleaner, I lightly tapped the crud with a small brass hammer. Once I got the first chunk out, the rest was easy to get under and scrape
  2. What press are you using? I assumed it was a 650 with a case feeder.
  3. If you have a case feeder (I assume that you do), you already have one power cord. I drilled a 1inch hole in my bench and used one of those hole-cover-things that you might see on an office desk to manage phone cords. Through this hole are the cords for the case feeder, MBF and Inline Fab light. They all go to a single power strip under the bench. Tidy.
  4. I frequently read on this forum that it is the "Indian not the arrow" when comparing guns like Glocks to a heavier CZ. Now you are trying to tell us that a 4in plastic gun is a major disadvantage. My Stock 2 is shorter than his Stock 3. Wah, wah, wah. FML. Your premise of competing with carry gear is ridiculously flawed. No one wears a 2 layer belt with a drop offset holster with 6 mag pouches for concealed carry. The whole notion of competitive equity sounds like some new age Millennial snowflakery. Why not have a sub-group of Limited shooters who are forced to shoot factory ammo because they can't or choose not to reload. If you carry a G19, save like $20 a week and you can buy yourself a shiny new G34 in a few months. As others have said, If you want to facilitate this change, make it happen, starting at a grass roots level. Asking the Forum to validate your idea is not going to help your cause.
  5. Lol. My racker weighs 0.4 oz.
  6. A deal on an Open gun that I couldn't resist

    PT Evo-Like Grips

Not even close! Have to coat grips with silicon carbide if you want a truly aggressive grip
  8. I have the Enos discount with SC. Some DAA products receive a discount. The Alpha X holster is not one of them
  9. I have tried a lot of Oakley lenses including Prizm TR22 and TR45. My current favorite is the Prizm trail. They are not as dark as the TR 22 but they provide excellent contrast for red on brown. On super bright Florida days, I might still use the TR 22
  10. try tightening the shell plate bolt. I had this issue when the bolt was too loose
  11. Is there any concern about fumes, or can it be done in the garage?? Heavy duty rubber gloves or the basic latex ones?? Thanks in advance
  12. the expression is " I could not care less"... I am not trying to be a dream crusher and sincerely hope you" embarrass/crush the nuts" of Stoeger and Sevigny to achieve your goal of making the World Shoot. The point that I was trying to make is that if you have a super lofty goal (notice I did not say impossible), F the rule changes, stay off the internet and goal wear out a few Tanfo barrels. I would suggest a bit of humility because there a lot of GM nut crushers out there
  13. Nothing like modest goals..... I would stop worrying about nonsense and focus on being a competitive B class shooter first
  14. Not trying to sidetrack the thread but where/how are you getting SP2??
  15. There was one at the Florida state match
  16. I did the same thing with my PT safety. Ended up changing to a DoubleTap AND moving the racker tho the right side. My thumb does not a repeat performance
  17. I have used both the PT and Double Tap. The PT is significantly wider, but can be shaped to your preference. For me, the PT put my thumb in a higher, less comfortable position than the DoubleTap. YMMV. I have pulled the PT off my Open gun and changed to the Double tap to match my Limited guns
  18. I use a DPP and have no issues with a variety of Oakley lenses. Polarized, Prizm, red, green, gray--the dot is still easy to see.
  19. Glad to hear TTI dumped her.
  20. 2 things that I added to my 650 that have made life easier are the Missed live primer upgrade and spent primer upgrade. The primer cup and "ski jump" are terrible.. Spent primers are routed through tubing into a 2 liter soda bottle. Live primers are caught in a little bottle. Got them both from Dillonupgrades.com
  21. I watched the reveal video and while I have no intention of dropping 7K on this, there is some really innovative stuff going on here. I am curious about the concept of no Loctite needed for any fasteners on the open gun. PT already makes first rate grips, safeties, frames... Haters gonna hate but I applaud their first effort at a complete pistol.
  22. My wife initially made me keep my pistol locked up at work. Things have changed.... . (BTW, This is an approximation of the Hillbillton Drill)
  23. i dont need this but really want one! How much extra for the diamonds? Did they re-chrome or ceracoat?
