  1. Which slide mounted optics are going to rule this division? Leupold Deltapoint Cmore RTS2 Trijicon RMR Others? Who does slide milling?? I'm game to try this division out if I can figure out how to setup my gear!
  2. Finally got some grips that fit my hands! And I've got all the goodies installed. All that's left is removing the checkering... maybe next winter! Or trading up for a CTS...
  3. I actually paid to see it in the theater waay back when it first came out...my buddies that went with me weren't as amused as I was, but I think kung fu movies are very entertaining!
  4. I like that red trigger! You got all the right upgrades...I like that it's so easy to make it your own. TS is a great Limited gun!
  5. I've got one with CZ UB competition hammer, CGW ext firing pin/spring, CGW steel guide rod and 15# flat spring, and polished trigger bar (everything except the short reset CGW parts). Works great - the best fit for me in Production of anything I've tried! Running the 13# main spring since I've got a mix of federal and cci primers with no issues at all - just as reliable as my CZ TS.
  6. Go for the TS. You'll spend the difference in upgrades to get the sp-01 closer and still never make up the capacity or sub 2# SA trigger that pops any brand of primer.
  7. Cedar rapids, I've been hoping to make it to your range at least once this year!
  8. I don't have revo equipment, but I'd like to come hang out on Sunday! Is there registration for the USPSA match on Sunday?
  9. Yes, used a flat steel file and slowly shaved down the grip panels till they fit. Not too technically hard but does take some elbow grease! Edit: added a pic of the finished product!
  10. I see this same thing at my range -- young people being encouraged and accepted. This makes me very proud and happy to be part of the competition shooting community. I don't often +1, but this thread had me smiling in agreement!
  11. I think he meant this hammer: http://czcustom.com/p07p09czubcomphammer.aspx I've got it and some CGW parts on mine and it works great!
  12. If it's your first gun shooting competition, I'd suggest the P09 for the first year. Lower cost of entry and easier to mod yourself. Since you're torn between the two, you'll be like me and eventually have to buy the other anyways just to try it!
  13. I've been using red and just tried green at my last match indoors. The green stands out better in low light much better for me. Yet to compare the outside but I think it may help me see faster...
  14. I'd suggest High Noon Holsters, they have a 20% till the 14th using coupon NL2015 (I think I saw that on the cz forum somewhere). Not a lot of P-01 leather holsters out there! http://www.highnoonholsters.com/search-by-gun-model/page/2/?manufacturer=7098&gun-model=7113
  15. Great background for people new to the sport! The amount of volunteer time by the select few so we can all enjoy a little friendly competition. We definitely should find ways to be more efficient and, more importantly, find ways to involve more members to share the work load. Thanks for starting the discussion! Let's keep the ideas going for creating a more lean match setup and scoring.
  16. Excellent choice! Very good customer service and parts availability (including some CZ UB aftermarket parts) Webstore: http://shop.cz-usa.com/home CZ Custom Shop in Mesa, Arizona Webstore page for TS parts: http://czcustom.com/CZ-TS-Parts.aspx Upgrades on my TS from either CZ USA Webstore or CZCustom Webstore: Grips ($85) Link: http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19146_Aluminum-Grips-Full-Size-Black-Czub - I had to file down these grips to fit with the magwell, took about an hour or so for both grip panels (and I noticed tonight that I need to loctite the screws still). I have some black flat aluminum grips that I used up until a few weeks ago already filed down to fit the magwell (http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19094_Black-Aluminum-Grips-For-75-Full-Sizets), if you're interested I'd give you a deal. - You can pretty much use any full size CZ 75 grip and trim them down to fit with a magwell, or just not use a magwell and no trimming is needed (I ran mine that was the first few months). Magwell ($75) Link: http://czcustom.com/CZ-Tactical_Sport-Mag-Well.aspx - Alternative is the Czechmate magwell which would allow you to use the factory base pads (http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/203047000002_Czechmate-Aluminum-Magwell), I also have one of these I bought since CZ USA has only a limited qty and rarely orders them from CZ UB. The flat aluminum grips would have to be filed down a little more to work. The positive would be you could use the factory base pads (the CZCustom magwells don't work with the factory base pads, the funnel gets in the way by about 1/8"). Front Fiber Optic Sight ($35), 1.5mm or 1.0mm diameter, 7.5mm tall (works with factory rear sight) Link: http://czcustom.com/CZ-Fiber-Optic-Front-Sight-7.5mm-with-1.5mm-FibreRod-2.aspx Extended Magazine basepads ($38 x 3) Link: http://czcustom.com/cztacticalsportextendedbasepadsilver.aspx(Silver) or http://czcustom.com/cztacticalsportextendedbasepadBlack.aspx (Black) Extended Spring and follower kit ($17 x 3) Link: http://czcustom.com/czcspringandfollowerkit10.aspx Steel Guide Rod ($25) Link: http://czcustom.com/CZ_75_SP01-Stainless-Steel-Guide-Rod.aspx Very easy to swap stuff and make yours unique. I haven't removed the dimpled checkering on the back or front strap yet. Some other threads on the forum with plenty of details though.
  17. Mike G. in 6th! I shoot with him at our local club, now I don't feel as slow knowing he's performing at that level!!
  18. Good one, thanks for resurrecting it!
  19. I think I saw Dillon sells a Champion LPA adjustable sight for $60. I haven't tried it, I'm in the camp that like the stock rear double duty as a slide racker.
  20. Not a "go buy X" reply, but I think the LPA sight cut would be what you need based on this from CZCustom:
  21. Good point, I put the VZ frags on this one. I believe the grip width was 1.2x" (I can't remember offhand). I think there's a post somewhere on here with the exact measurement of the grip width with each different type of grip (aluminum, VZ, and stock rubber).

  23. Yes, they should be fine. Here's a short of a Compact L (limited release version of a p-01 with a manual safety) at 1.33" at its widest point. The decocker should be slightly thinner but you'll have to train for both trigger pulls.
