  1. In between, it's the same as a Czechmate, if you can find one of those to fondle.
  2. Couldn't help but pass this one along. TS Orange...all about the grip.
  3. CZ USA (Kansas city), czcustom (AZ), cajungunworks (Louisiana)
  4. Ok, I've got 2 matches under my belt with the TS Orange (and two practice range trips). About 500 rounds in total, not a single failure. The updated grip and go pedal have really made a difference for me (compared to my stock TS). Last match I shot 95.5% of available raw points (645 of 675). Good enough to finish 3rd of 25 shooters (95.99% match points) behind two A classified guys (both made M in other divisions). Not too shabby for someone stuck in D (probably need to shoot classifiers more often than twice a year). Only downside is the holster wear. I've got a Ghost holster for the SP-01 with an unmodified block. It's a tiny bit loose and wags the tail when holstered. Some wear to the trigger guard has worn the paint off to the metal (pic below). Good, secure holster otherwise (and shows off my new toy nicely!).
  5. that looks vaguely familiar You did a nice job setting it up! I've only played with the springs. The CZC Htac rear sight adds some extra cool factor!
  6. That's awesome. Love those FDE's. What mods would you consider "must do"? Must do: buy ammo and practice! Easy to do's: CGW's extended firing pin, reduced power springs (FP spring, FPB spring, 13# hammer spring (11# if you can find Fed primers), and #15 flat recoil spring) Second tier to-do: competition hammer (SA break is incredible after), reduced power TRS (since you've got it disassembled) and upgraded sights
  7. I've been very satisfied with this P-09 I got a while back (credit to eerw for the great photo). Solid platform, easy to upgrade hammer, sights, springs. Highly recommend a stippled back-strap and grip tape on the front strap to keep a firm hold.
  8. Any other aftermarket upgrades? Sights, trigger, hammer, refinished? I start the base at $1000 for used, then add the upgrades. Factory stock with 3 extra mags I'd offer $1150. Yes, you can fit a 9mm barrel and get 9mm mags and run both calibers. No other parts need changed.
  9. Very solid, aluminum body, plastic hangar and metal tube to adjust height. Plenty of adjustments. I had to reduce the cant to get a more consistent draw without getting hung up. Mainly need to move straight up to clear the retention (I was pushing forward too soon, bad habit from kydex holsters). Found it will scratch the finish on the trigger guard if you don't get that straight up draw figured out.
  10. Ummm, Shadow 2? Slightly wider frame, heavier, SA/DA (and rumored SA version too).
  11. If I understood the Ghost specs correctly, the block is made for the SP-01. It fits the TS (albeit much tighter fit). If you shaved the width to open it up for the TS, I'm going to assume your SP-01 may be a little looser than you'd like.
  12. I'm curious to see what you come up with leaving the thumb rest on. I've got a ghost "the one" and there's a bit of wiggle. It'd be good to have another option!
  13. The magwell is still the big question. Not sure what base pads will fit. Also, still thinking about the tubes available based on since of the others comments above. I'd assumed all tubes were the same length, so if there is one version that's a little bit longer that be a better fit with a magwell. But it may only allow a +2 base pad extension to stay within the 140mm. I'm sure someone on the forum has tried the options before...
  14. I haven't done it yet, but trying to help a friend with the same end goal. 12-rd mags: $22.95 (same length as the 9mm 16 rd mag) http://gregcotellc.com/cart/cz-mecgar-magazines-base-pads-c-130/cz-75b-cz-75-sp01-12-rd-40-sw-afc-mgcz4012afc-inserted-p-1693.html Add base pads: $29.99 or $38.00 http://tarantacticalinnovations.com/firepower-base-pad-for-cz75-4/ (looks like beveled top will work better with a mag well, plus more color choices!) http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/base-pads-extensions/cz-75-extended-base-pad-long.html Add the updated follower/spring from CZC: $16.90 http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/base-pads-extensions/czc-spring-and-follower-kit-10.html You end up with a $70 magazine...I'm thinking 16 rds is doable, maybe squeeze in 17? To compare, the TS extended ones cost $99 each.
  15. Got them (9mm barrel & new adj rear sight) installed today, took my time and have a nice snug lockup. Try to get some rounds thorough it on Sunday. Curious, is your barrel all black coated instead of plain? I got a spare barrel from CZ USA and it is black with the serial number on the left instead of right.
  16. I just installed the flat trigger (https://cajungunworks.com/product/straight-single-action-aluminum-trigger/) in my TS. However, it appears the trigger had a slightly different position than stock. The trigger bar is not long enough to fully engage the sear with the new trigger installed I've adjusted the pre and over travel screws to no avail. I can get it where the trigger bar nudges the sear with the trigger pressed, but I need about 1mm more trigger bar travel to drop the hammer. The trigger is against the frame, so no more give there. Any thoughts to remedy?
  17. Sweet Jeebus. I thought having a stock TS as backup was a good enough plan...
  18. I've got a regular TS, just removed the waffle checkering last fall. The length is shorter and between that and the go pedal it feels like a different gun. More control laterally. I feel like my front sight wags a bit unless I'm really locked into form. But the better checking, reduced length from under beaver tail to under trigger, plus the go pedal make the TS Orange feel more stable. So far just in dry fire. Should get a holster and range time later this week.
  19. Sorry, I don't have a food scale or anything capable of weighing it with any precision. The specs put it within an ounce of stock, if I recall correctly.
  20. Well, I pre-ordered one of these and even though the timing was a few months sooner than I expected...one of these followed me home today! You'll probably see something else of mine in the classifieds to help offset to splurge. As desired, here's pictures (and my thoughts). Grip: undercut trigger guard and beaver tail is MUCH higher than I expected, checkering is very good 20 LPI-ish feel and sharp, and my first time holding a blaster with a go-pedal and it fits my hand perfectly. Go-pedal is actually inset to the frame, a nice touch. Trigger: they've improved on the stock TS, pretty much in line with the Czechmate, about 1.5# Magwell: not as blended as I'd hoped, but slightly better than stock. Sights: contoured rear adjustable for height only, front 1mm fiber counter sunk against a serrated blade (very similar to a Dawson), very good low profile sights and sight picture. Barrel: very highly polished from tip-to-tail, PLUS the slide appears to be chrome-lined inside where the barrel rides - very cool! Includes a steel guide rod, came with a clear shock buff. Slide-to-frame fit: incredible compared to stock, it's so tight i set just over half an inch of the slide into the frame and it doesn't slide down by itself. It would do that at any point in pulling the slide down the frame. Fit it so tight compared to a stock TS, I am still amazed. See pics in the album link below. Finish: it doesn't look like the polycoat from the SP-01, and it sucked up the lube I put on it. Slide is a matte black and just a shade lighter than the frame. I'm guessing the finish is the same stuff CZ is putting on the barrels (and probably the Shadow 2 from the pictures I've seen of it). I like it. Reminds me of Dan Wesson's "duty treatment" coating. Holsters: It does not fit my TS kydex holster, so no reuse there unfortunately. For me at about $500-600 over stock TS and a few hundred under entry 2011's, I think it's priced just right. Keep the good stuff coming CZ! A couple more pics in the album here: http://imgur.com/a/RgpBE
  21. On GB! http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=547195574
  22. So, my local dealer just heard that CZ USA got in a shipment of 21 TS Oranges! Should be some excited folks that pre-ordered!!

  24. I personally like the GUI of the android based app. iPad is second, wish the GUI was closer to Android. Nook touchscreen is laggy but the e-ink technology is the best on battery life by far.
