  1. Finally bought my own chrono so I could confirm my new load before winter sets in and reloading season starts! 4.0gr WST 124gr FP Extreme 1.07" OAL (nice and short for my CZ's, 1.08" plunks but didn't spin in my P-01) Chrono results using my P-01 with a 3.65 inch barrel (per CZ UB measurement of 92.5mm, CZ USA measures it at 3.8 inches): Low 995 fps High 1030 fps Avg 1015 fps PF = 125.86 BARELY made minimum BUT I usually shoot a TS with 1.5" longer barrel so I should be closer to 130PF with that gun. Need to do some experimenting with the crimp or increase to 4.1gr WST to see if I can group as tight as I was at 1.08" OAL I loaded last winter.
  2. I've got a pair of in ear Quiet Pro by Nacre (recently acquired by Honeywell). I've been impressed that the active noise cancelation switches on and off fast enough to hear the steel hits. Not sure of the NR rating, but you can find a used pair on eBay occasionally (usually former military use).
  3. That's a little shorter than I've heard before in CZ's, I load mine 1.075-1.080 with that same projectile. But as long as they run and are accurate and you aren't compacting the powder, I think you should be fine.
  4. OK, just got the black CZ-UB Czechmate magwell that fits the TS. It mounts a bit higher than the CZC magwells. It looks like the compact grips fit perfectly (used the stock rubber grips from my Compact L to test). The aluminum grips I trimmed for the CZC magwell are too long, need about another 1/4" shorter (see pic). This magwell would be great for those that don't want to add the czc extended base pads and spring/follower kit ($38+17 per mag), but you'd still need different grips (or sand down the factory walnut). It does make your support hand ride higher and doesn't extend the grip a low as the CZC version. I'm torn between the two options, there's trade-offs for both.
  5. I think I need to visit Frostproof! And if you build a range like that in the Midwest, that'd be fantastic!
  6. Thanks for the info. I've been trying to find a good load for the Extreme 147s with WST. I was surprised the profile let me go as long as 1.19" in my TS. I backed down to 1.16" with 3.5gr but good to know I've got some room.I made it to the range today. 1.16" oal with 3.5gr WST cycled, BUT was not accurate. 25 yards thru my CX4 with 4x scope was 6-8 inch spread. To compare my usual load 124gr w/ 4.0gr @ 1.08" oal groups around 1-2".Any suggestions? I feel going much shorter with the Extreme 147gr RN will start to compress the powder which I've read is not desireable, especially with WST.
  7. Thanks for the info. I've been trying to find a good load for the Extreme 147s with WST. I was surprised the profile let me go as long as 1.19" in my TS. I backed down to 1.16" with 3.5gr but good to know I've got some room.
  8. Ooooh, black CM magwell...yeah, only 3 in stock now! Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking for them to come in stock for a long while.
  9. When you have it disassembled, can't you pop off the the plastic S-shaped primer chute cover (on the right side of the ram)? I thought that'd allow you to clean and inspect the primer chute between the shellplate and primer catch bucket?
  10. Did the plunk and spin test with Extreme 147gr RN in my CZ TS and found I could load to 1.190"! Barely fit in the mag, but cycled the whole mag worth just fine. I'll back them down to the 1.169" spec and test for accuracy next. Started with 3.5gr of WST. Just wanted to share my plunk test results.
  11. 4.0gr WST with 124gr Extreme FP at 1.085" OAL runs around 130pf (temp sensitive) and feels like .22's coming out of my heavy CZ TS!
  12. A bit dirty from what I've seen on other moly coated, but the seen to work good enough for practice rounds.
  13. I use Glock inserts with a flat washer between the pouch and insert. +1 but with lock washers to give me some more flex (plus it was all I had in my toolkit at the time)
  14. Here was my solution: Sweet! Hardware store trip tonight!!
  15. I run the Bladetech DOH with my CZ TS and I don't meet the rules - it hangs just over 2" out from my inner belt. That said, I'm only shooting in local matches so nobody has made a stink about it (I'm not winning matches either!). BUT I know I'd be in trouble at a bigger match. That's actually one of the reasons I didn't go to Iowa sectionals...I'll have to figure out how to fix my gear to meet the rules first. I've seen a few options from guys on the forum, besides paying Stoeger $50 for his hangar!
  16. Flat steel file ($5) and some elbow grease, takes about an hour to do both.
  17. TS in 9mm did not come with buffers from the factory (maybe they did back when it was the "IPSC Standard" model)?
  18. Wow, not sure the round count but that looks like a very good deal for those looking for 9mm. Kudos to whoever picked up that .40sw, that was a steal!
  19. Says all the colors are in stock for the TS Magwell. http://www.shop-cz.com/magazine-funnel-anodized-cz-75-ts-black/d-70738/ I was also planning on throwing these grips on. Will this combo work? http://czcustom.com/CZ_75-CZ_85-thin-silver-grips-short.aspx I think we convinced CZ USA to order some for us already and they have 10 in stock still: http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19093_Aluminum-Mag-Well-Tac-Sport-Silver
  20. If you don't snag that amazing deal on GB, send me a PM. I picked up a 9mm TS last fall and been running it in local matches as Limited minor this year. Runs like a dream and I'm moving up in the ranks! That said, I think I'm ready to upgrade to the .40SW TS so I can shoot Limited major and keep the points!
  21. Professor Atlas' knowledge base will do that!
  22. Let us know if that works for you! And if you need a new home for your czc adjustable rear sight, look me up!
