  1. Looks like the same non FPB mechanisms, hopefully some interchangeable parts with the current 75 series. Even better, the metal looks like it's a step above the soft cast steel and poly coat. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Good find! It looks like it's got a following on FB...let alone with the crowd on Enos!
  3. My thoughts on the design differences: - 9 vs 40 barrels have the same OD - 9mm barrel has more material and is slightly heavier - they took some material from the 9mm slide recoil spring tunnel to balance to the same weight for both models - recoil sleeve cycles quieter in dry fire racking (neat feature if you have a 9 slide) - no functional reason to have it (not needed of you're putting a 9 barrel on a 40 slide...pretty sure it won't even fit in the smaller diameter tunnel of the 40 slide)
  4. Hello from Cedar Rapids! If you're looking for a place to shoot an indoor match, I suggest Eastern Iowa Practical Shooters at Midwest range the first Tuesday, first Saturday, or third Thursday. Send me a PM if you have questions. I'd recommend the 550 to anyone except the high volume shooters. I have a friend from work that is looking to sell his 650 of you are local and want to check it out in person.
  5. Pretty sure CGW's reach reduction trigger includes a non factory pretravel screw which makes it a visible modification. Here's the language from CGW's site. "Is it legal for shooting sports? No. The pre-travel set screw installed on the upper area of the trigger is visible. However, you can use the modified RRK disconnector w/o the upper trigger screw to noticeable reduce the DA stroke." https://cajungunworks.com/product/rrk-t2-reach-reduction-kit/
  6. Ok, I think I can handle that. I'm hoping I can remove the material from the frame, so I can still swap the slide back to my TS. Although I could just move the barrel back to my other TS slide (40). Very interesting! Always good to have another project to put together. Thanks!
  7. Resurrecting this topic, I've got a spare 9mm TS slide and would like to put it on a small frame 75 series - is the 75 SA the best option? What kind of fitting would need to be done? Thanks in advance.
  8. 124gr Xtreme FP, 4.0gr WST, 1.07" OAL I think I've got about 8K of those through my TS now...works great!
  9. +1 on this, each state may be different...not sure it's managed at the county/city level, but worthwhile to check around. There's always weird rules hiding out there...
  10. Add another grateful shade tree smith who found this thread invaluable. This was the first sear cage I tore apart, and it was the P-01 just for fun. I used a LOT of CZC and CGW parts to make my own wanna be SDP (short of getting the rear sight milled). Great off season project! Thanks again all!
  11. Thanks for that! There's a reason I didn't research too much before I went in...that would have convinced me to be celebate for the rest of my days instead!
  12. 24 hours later, you're spot on, beer good. For those that are wondering about the procedure and recovery, the only discomfort is lower abdomen (like you took a bump to the man plums) which persists for a couple days. Annoying, yes. But a good excuse to sit on the couch for a whole weekend. One thing I didn't realize is you still have live rounds in the, uh, magazine that take a couple months to cycle out. I know there's some pun about live fire or dry fire in that comment...
  13. Vasectomy this afternoon - that should take care of the root cause!! Too much information, I know.
  14. Lol! Seems like there's always someone leaving presents at my house this time of year...
  15. Already the proud papa of three boys ages 6, 5, and 8 months...and now plus one more! Another pair that will be 16 months apart (no, definitely not planned). We'll see if my wife gets a girl finally. I keep telling myself the 8 month old needs a playmate beside the dog. Still trying to convince myself this is "What I Like"!
  16. This should help, updated my TS by removing the checkering and have the frame hard chromed (matte) by Metaloy. Put it back together with the competition hammer, mostly for looks!
  17. Great grip reduction, you wouldn't even have to get that repainted it's so cleanly done!
  18. I spent $50 on the boss hangar to replace my DOH just to comply with the rules. Oh well. It makes sense for Limited and Open.
  19. Excellent. I've bookmarked your page! I usually go thru the list of forum dealers when I look for stuff.
  20. Duluth Trading Lifetime belt + Mitch Rosen OWB 5JR-Express line. IWB prefer hybrid holsters from White Hat Holsters.
  21. Maybe center of mass holsters has something you'd like? I know they've got the P01 mold.

I looked into doing that too. Unfortunately, the slide needs to be nuked to fit the different dovetail of the Heine or Novak style. CZC can get you a quote. Cheaper shipping since its just the slide. Not a lot of good options for aftermarket rear sights on standard CZ dovetails.
  23. +1, especially for the 9mm version. If you can find the czechmate magwell there's a few easy grip options to customize.
  24. I'm assuming you wouldn't send them your unicorn custom gun. But fitting a barrel is a relatively non invasive job that would be backed by deep corporate pockets if done incorrectly.
