  1. This collection is one of everything CZ I desire... Well done!
  2. Same topic discussion in progress here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209686#entry2330947
  3. +1 on an older thread, curious what the resolution was? I've been spraying One Shot on the base of the index pawl and it seems to clear it up. Also might be something in the primer slide feed. Only happens consistently when there's a case in each station. Lots of variables and intermittent issue...
  4. I know my CZ TS has a real world 5.1" barrel vs my CZ P-01 with a 3.5" barrel. I had to bump up my 9mm minor PF load to keep from going subminor on my P-01. Delta was 50 FPS less with the 1.5" shorter barrel. Not sure if that's linear (ie, 1 inch = 33.33 FPS) , but it gives you a rough idea.
  5. I've got the blue box, it's a lot bigger. I can fit my TS and full size 1911 in there!
  6. +1 And if you wet tumble, be sure to get those cases dry...I know some guys that forgot that step. Wet powder = no pewpewpew.
  7. Ok, more than a few months late, but I see 5 tactical sports in 9mm on GB right now. All reasonably priced too!
  8. It is a great compact gun. Decocker is simple, no safety to worry about, and he could easily swap in a lighter mainspring of the double action pull is too heavy. Grip is the most comfortable I've found. Only thing to look at is if he has smaller hands (short fingers) getting a good trigger finger pad placement can be a bit of a stretch - might get more towards the tip of the finger which makes the double action feel even harder. It is designed as a police gun, so the factory double action is stout.
  9. Lucky guy... my wife is still trying to understand the beauty in functionality in these kind of heirloom handguns!
  10. Also, from SHOT show... Introducing the Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Commander:
  11. Ha, I wish too! There's a couple Watchman's on GB. Aluminum frame with titanium feed ramp. Looks pretty nice. http://www.gunbroker.com/Semi-Auto-Pistols/BI.aspx?Keywords=ruger+1911+watchman
  12. I see Ruger just released the Watchman (black) version of its 1911 commander length (and standard length too). Priced around $700-750 on GB.
  13. I've tried this sight on my P-01, works very well but has some sharp edges: http://czcustom.com/CZ-Tactical-Rear-Sight.aspx I've got a hiene rear sight already purchased, just waiting to set up a work order with czcustom when the stars align.
  14. The rear sight standard dovetail is, in my opinion, the weak design point on an otherwise very customizable gun. That said, your best options are czcustom.com and cajungunworks.com Alternatively, you can send your slide to czcustom and they will mill the dovetail to fit more widely acquirable dovetails like Novak style (look at the hiene sights on their top end custom guns). Last, I see Dave at CGW is designing a new rear sight. Not sure on timing of its availability. Good luck!
  15. Tagging, I've seen brass marked by this and they are much easier to pick out of the grass for outdoor matches. Thanks!

    Sig P320

I'm amazed the aftermarket is up to speed on this already. I think Sig is doing this one right. Looking forward to getting one kitted up for competition!
  17. My opinion in the officer size you don't want to lighten the slide any more for 45 ACP. They'd have to run heavy springs to offset the weight. The physics just don't make sense, but maybe the looks are a little more your style? I like the classic top myself.
  18. Comes with the original 75B slide too. But communist state 10 rd mags... Not my auction, bit I noticed a couple days ago too.
  19. Wow, you must have Herculean arm strength to get that pin at station #4 to bend the hole in the frame like that! I'd guess you'll have to send the whole thing back for a new frame, not sure how they'd fill and redrill that pin hole. I would've guessed the bolt in the middle of the shellplate would have snapped before bending the frame and that pin. You must have had some crazy physics going on there to make that happen! Bet you're glad it's a Dillon!!
  20. The finish on the DW is a proprietary ceramic (or something along those lines) and it is amazing. Holds up much better than anodized, cerakote, or duracoat. The DW's grips and checkering would be my preference for ccw compared to the other picture.
  21. or buy 2 45's and 2 9mm's. That way you get to buy even MORE guns. +1 for your keen sense of logic! I didn't realize the WS Classic top guys were shooting minor, that is interesting...
  22. "Violence is an inescapable aspect of our existence and that it exacts lasting costs in dignity, self-worth, and emotional connection."

  23. I'm running 130PF loads on a factory stock spring. I can't get below 0.15 splits consistently unless it's on an up close hoser (in which case I've been told it sounds like I've got full auto...sweet trigger on this thing!), so I'm not sure how much faster you're trying to go!
