Did they say if it would have the same serial number? Just curious how they would handle something like that.

I haven't shot both but I do own a Brazos HP Edge and it has functioned 100% of the time, the shooter not so much.

Have you ever tested Weapon Shield and if so how did it compare to Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil?

Send it in for reconditioning. It will come back looking just like new. Based on what others have stated. Luckily mine get used enough they don't get a chance to rust. If they did and it was bad enough, I think I would just do as others and send it in.

Congratulations! You will like your new press. I've had mine since the mid 80's. I use the 650 with bullet feeder more than the 550 these days but the 550 is great for smaller batches and rifle rounds since I don't shoot thousands of them per month.

They are pretty soft, doesn't take much to screw them up. I've jammed a case in there a time or two and cleaned them up with a file but best just to replace them on your next parts order.

I use the Redding Micrometer die in 9mm for both my open major gun and my minor 9mm rounds, never adjust the crimp die.

I ran with a 550 for over 20 years and it worked well but a couple of years back I got the 650 and later a bullet feeder. Both presses are great and will do what you want them to do but if you are planning on loading a lot of rounds I would go with the 650.

I think my Cheely open gun was 3-4 months too. It's been a great blaster with the exception of the cracked slide and the down time waiting to get it back. I guess there was a shortage of 9mm slides back then. Once I get the Infinity I'll be sending my STI back to Matt to have him go through it and maybe get a new finish.

That's what the rumor is on HKPro. The VP40 is also part of that.

I picked one up last year, it's my steel challenge gun.

I usually use whatever is cheaper and that is usually CCI. No problems in any of my guns.

I would run the 650 for a few months until you know it inside and out. Once you get to that point add a MBF. You can start with it but you may get frustrated trying to learn both systems and how they work together. Not saying you can't but why add more frustration then you need to. The two work really well together and if you load large batches of the same ammo I would highly recommend it. Good luck!

My load with Silhouette is 7.8gr under a Montana Gold 124gr JHP loaded out to 1.165 OAL with a CCI small rifle primer. I get a low SD and a PF of 174. This is with a 5" Cheely built gun.

Picked up a P30SK LEM Lite on July 15th, I have right at 1000 rounds through it now and I’m really pleased with the performance and feel. I did a comparison to it with my P2000SK on HK Pro http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgun-talk/221830-p2000sk-v1-lite-vs-p30sk-v1-lite.html#post1689760 If you haven’t tried one of these yet it is a fantastic subcompact pistol. I always felt the P2000SK was a great little gun but with the adjustable grip panels on the P30SK I would say it has the P2000SK beat. I’m sure if/when the VP9SK comes out I will be in line for that one too. Here is a picture of the P30SK

Have you broke down any rounds to see if the powder looked different?

Have you tried any Slime http://slime.com/? I use this in my lawnmower tires and on the 4-wheeler and never have a flat.
