  1. At least you got yours. I still haven’t received mine but I did get the $200 rebate.
  2. This. The 550 system is workable and if you have never owned a 650 you would probably be satisfied. I have loaded thousands of rounds on my 550 and when I got the 650 I couldn’t believe how maintenance free the primer system was. Still have and use the 550 but my 650 is the workhorse.
  3. X5 Legion with Romeo 1 Pro or DPP if you already have one. The extra weight will keep the gun on target. It reminds me of my 2011 in feel and performance.
  4. Yeah I figured that but the sliding primer system on my 550 has never been as robust as my 650.
  5. Sounds like the same just a different location, am I missing something?
  6. I got my return label yesterday but won’t get a chance to ship until at least Thursday. Nearest FedEx hub is 45 minutes away. Looks like I will be going back to my open gun for the rest of the season.

Might want to keep as backup based on what you read on this site about slide ride optics.
  8. I have a 550 and 650. The 650 has all the extras bullet feeder, case feeder, ... I prefer the primer feeder on the 650 over the 550. Maybe the 750 has improved over the 550 but I don’t see anything about the 750 I have to have. If I were buying new today I’m not sure I would buy the 750 over the 650 unless they were the same price and even then I would like to see more reviews on them after people had loaded a few hundred thousand on them.
  9. The springs that came with my Legion were considerably longer than standard 1911 springs that I own.
  10. True Have used in several matches without issues. There were instructions provided with the bases when I purchased them.
  11. I got that notice too but they didn’t have CCI SPP in stock. I was going to do a price comparison between them and Powder Valley because it’s usually cheaper at PV even with Brownells discount but they didn’t have what I needed so didn’t price check. Plus I had a $10 discount from PV for signing up for their newsletter I never used. But you can’t beat 1¢ hazmat! Thanks for the heads up on the CCI primer rebate. Saved more money!
  12. OK... Powder Valley was 1/2 price on hazmat and I needed some primers. While there I noticed Alliant had $2 per pound rebate if you ordered 4 ponds or more so I ordered an 8lb jug of Sport Pistol I hope it’s as good as everyone says. I’ll save the W-231 for my 45 ACP loads.
  13. Since I already had three 17 round mags that came with the gun I just ordered 3 Springer bases for them. Had some Grams 9mm spring kits from my open gun I put in them and easily get 23+1 reloadable. So far they have been reliable.
  14. They are Henning with the Legion insignia on the bottom. I use just standard plastic Sig pads on mine since I don’t run the magwell. I’m not an IDPA member but I did read in their rules you can’t use weighted mags. Not sure if that means weighted base pads or not.

I had to look at my paperwork for the Legion. It came with 14 and 12 not 17 and 14. I know I was using the lighter spring so it is 12 not 14 as I stated above. It works fine with both but I have faster splits with the lighter (12lb) spring.
  16. I don’t think it will fit the box with the magwell from what I’ve heard. I shoot USPSA CO and it had to come off.
  17. We use to use cigarette butts. The Army has come a long ways...

Probably 17 for factory if they are hot. I run 14 with my ~130pf 124gr reloads.
  19. I’ve had Pro Ears Gold for years and work great for my pistols including my open guns. They do get in the way for me when shooting PCC. I go to plugs for that.
  20. I called when I had issues with the battery door latch. They created an account and put a rush order in so when they received it they would get it repaired faster. It was in their shop less than a week. When I got it back the latch was replaced an they even replaced the circuit board even though I wasn’t having any issues with it. It was only 30 days old and had what looked to me to be the newer board as seen in this post. Anyway if I were to do it again I would call first and let them setup everything on their end first if I was in a hurry.
  21. I called and got my rebate code today as well. Was also told case was still on backorder. Didn’t ask for return label because too many matches I want to shoot with it before season end, will have barrel replaced after that.
  22. I’m in the same position, I have a bunch of W-231 and when it runs out I think I will try SP based on what I have read on here. Using SNS 125gr CRN. In fact SNS even recommends Sport Pistol on their website for their coated bullets.
  23. I had to send one back because the latch that holds the battery cover closed came off while shooting. At first I thought my X5 Legion through a piece of brass to my head until I tried to look through the lens again and noticed the battery door was blocking my view. Called CS to see if they would just send me the latch and spring but of course they wouldn’t. They did create a rush order on my account so that it would get repaired ASAP. They received it on Friday and it was repaired an back in the mail by Thursday. I also mentioned on Tuesday when I called that I needed it repaired ASAP because I had matches that weekend which is why I was trying to purchase the parts to repair it myself. I also mentioned I had planned to purchase a second unit for a backup and the CS rep said he would make me a great deal on a new unit and have it shipped second day air for free so I would have it before the weekend if I was interested. Needless to say this was a no brainer because the price they quoted me was considerably cheaper than the one I purchased online and that was the cheapest I could find. Second unit is running great and between the two I have over 3000 rounds on them, most of which is on the second unit. Hopefully I won’t experience the issues the others have had with them.
  24. Why wouldn’t it be the gun, maybe wasn’t hardened well enough? I have had slides crack and replaced because the metal was weak/defective...
