  1. I use one on my 650. Makes it easy going between 9 minor and 9 major.
  2. Ask them to send you the alignment tool for it, there is no charge for the tool. At least you could eliminate that.
  3. Could just be the photo but doesn't look like station 2 is lined up correctly.
  4. Can't speak about the others but I have a Brazo's HP Edge and couldn't be happier. Not the first issue with it, probably my most reliable gun.
  5. After reading this it got me thinking, do these primer punch springs ware out? Reason why I ask, I've noticed with my 650 just sitting there the punch sticks up a little through the platform. Don't notice any issue when reloading but seems like the spring might be weaker now and allowing the weight of the shell plate, platform, and handle to push the spring down more.
  6. Good idea Sarge. I'm so used to not having a bullet feeder I used to just pull the two pins and removed the whole tool head to dump the powder and blow everything out with compressed air. I'll have to try just removing the powder measure next time.
  7. Anything I use for a match goes into the 100 round containers after they have been case gauged. If they don't pass the case gauge they go into Tupperware for practice. If I run a big batch I will put them into ammo boxes or larger Tupperware until they have been case gauged and placed into the 100 round containers.
  8. Thanks Mahlsan. I like to keep everything in its place.
  9. I'm thinking about a 1050 also but I think Mr Bullet Feeder will hold me a little longer. I currently have the 650 and 550 mounted to the bench but to be honest about the only time I run the 550 is for rifle or revolver ammo. I can't think of the last time I loaded rifle ammo. I think if/when I go to the 1050 I may sell the 550. Never tried rifle on the 650 but it sounds like a lot of guys on here do.
  10. I haven't tried one shot. I will have to. ...I do have the dillion lube..I live in the desert. And it's always windy. I use Dillon Lube for rifle and One Shot for pistols. Never tried One Shot on rifle because I tumble them again after sizing & trimming.
  11. What can I say but WOW! Only had 200 pieces of brass that were ready to load yesterday and it ran too fast! Actually I only had to adjust the dropper once because every 3rd or 4th round it would fail to drop a bullet. Once I got that adjusted everything was spot on. I only wish I had a thousand or so that were ready to load. I did see where it would be more convenient to leave the powder in the powder measure (see other post out there). I'm one of those that always dump my powder back into the container. I figured out the best place to unhook MBF was at the brass weight so I could pull the tool head off and dump the powder. And for those of you that don't think the Dillon cover will fit over the 650 with Mr Bullet Feeder, here is proof! BEFORE AFTER
  12. Well, Mr Bullet Feeder arrived yesterday and when I got home from work last night I just couldn’t resist opening the box and looking at it, knowing I wouldn’t have time to install it until Thursday. One thing led to another and before I went to bed last night I had it installed and cycled around 100 bullets through the collator without the first failure. I loaded about 10 rounds with no primers or powder just to get a feel for it and all went perfect. I really like the powder funnel design, not much flare but it sure opens the case up perfectly for the bullet to sit nicely in the case as well as being tamped into it. AND… To top it off the 650 cover will fit over both the MBF and the case feeder! Not exactly the custom fit look that it had before but at least it works. I’ll try and get some pictures posted of it Thursday. I think I’m really going to like this thing, can’t wait until I get a chance to load with it later this week.
  13. Talk about fast shipping, ordered Mr Bullet Feeder yesterday morning and it's coming in the brown truck today! I enjoy buying stuff from Shooter's Connection, probably too much. It will be Thursday before I get a chance to install it but at least it will be waiting on me and not the other way around. Looking forward to using it after reading all the comments and watching everyone's videos. Kind of a bummer about the cover not fitting. Never thought about pulling it off and putting it inside the case feeder. I'm sure we have an old pillow case somewhere, or at least it will be old once the wife sees it on the workbench. Thanks for the comments.
  14. I have one and use it on some loads but it was making a mess with my 9Major round because the case is so full. When the brass tip would drop into the case to measure the powder it would spill onto the shell plate so I had to quit using it on that round. Honestly I have loaded for years on a 550 without one and a couple of years on the 650 with no problems. I do keep full attention on what I'm doing and check cases as they come around. The low powder volume cases it would be helpful on when you really need to be at the right angle to see down in them. I think if they don't cause problems when using them or if you have distractions when loading they would be a good tool to use.
  15. Just placed my order with Shooter's Connection this morning for one of these units in 9mm. I hope I'm as happy with it as most of you are that own them. There sure is a lot of helpful information on here and the videos on Double Alpha explain things pretty well too. One question that I have... Will the Dillon 650 cover fit over MBF and the case feeder? Looks like it's kind of big attached to the side of the case feeder although the cover appears to have extra room in it.
  16. The only time I couldn't fix my open gun at a match was when the slide broke. Of course it wasn't until after the match that I figured out what happened. I thought maybe I lost zero on my C-More so as I was trying to zero it in the next day I found the crack in the slide. This was at a local match and the only reason I started looking for a problem is because it looked like I was shooting a scatter gun rather than an open blaster. Had I been at a big match shooting multiple days I would have been out because I don't carry spare slides. Some day I hope to have a new open gun built and I will keep my current one for a backup but until then I will just carry spare parts and hope I don't break a major part.
  17. Actually in your analogy it would be more like ordering and paying for a beer, the can having a hole in so you point that out and they charge you for the trouble of getting you a new one. I just expected this to be handled like everyone brags about... "Oh, this part broke and I called Dillon and within a few days I had my new part FREE of charge." This wasn't the case here and actually cost ME money. That was the point I was making here. And yes I was happy with the quick turn around that's why I stated that. Trying to give the good with the bad. I have had Dillon presses and equipment for nearly 25 years just pointing out things are a changing.
  18. I must admit the turnaround time from Indiana to Arizona was faster than I thought it would be. I sent the defective parts by USPS Friday afternoon (080814) and according to the tracking information they arrived at Dillon on Monday at 11:00. On Tuesday I received FedEx tracking information showing the new parts were ready to ship. Today (081514) at 16:30 I received the new parts. Both the shell plate and the platform are new and not repaired/reconditioned parts. There was no information about what they determined. They did include an alignment tool with the replacement parts. It would have been nice if they would have included some primer tubes or at least a store credit to cover my shipping expense. But at least I'm back in business and it appears everything is still in alignment so didn't need the tool. I'll probably load some 9mm tomorrow to see how it does. All in all I'm glad to have the 650 back to gather just didn't like what it took to get the parts and the $10.25 it cost me out of my pocket for shipping.
  19. I used to shoot them a lot until the coated bullets came about. Normally good price & fast shipping. They used to offer discount codes a lot too that made them even cheaper.
  20. I would check the adjustments on your dies. After that anything that doesn't pass the gauge save for practice. Most likely they will all work but no sense running them in a match when you need practice ammo anyway. Besides if you get a malfunction it's good practice for you to clear it. That's what I do with my ammo and to be honest I'm not sure if I got a failure from any of them. Your chamber will be more forgiving than the case gauge. At least if you have a malfunction in a match you will know it wasn't due to your ammo.
  21. Looks like they received the parts yesterday (Monday) so I'll let you know when I get them back and what if anything they say. It would be nice if they gave me credit for the shipping but I'm not holding my breath.
  22. I just sent in what they wanted, shell plate and platform. Parts weighed just under 2 pounds.
  23. You can thank the aftermarket swaging system and shell plates for the change. I don't blame them, I would do the same thing. They would have done the same thing with the 1050's, due to the autodrives but the warranty expires on them pretty quickly. Maybe I can understand that but it would be nice if they would take my credit card information and just send me the new parts. Once they got the defective ones they could take the hold off. If I didn't send them in they could just charge me for them. For the people trying to cheat them they could just go ahead and charge them for the new parts. At least I wouldn't be out $10.25 and two weeks without my press or however long it takes to get the parts back. Not exactly the warrantee we are all used to.
  24. Second that, I'm sure you could pay someone at your club to load ammo for you and would probably give you a break if you supply the brass and components.
