Mine will run both short and long. I normally run 1.200" COL but if I'm plinking or shooting a steel match I sometimes run factory length .40 without any issues. During my break in the only problem I had was with one mag, the gun ran flawlessly and still does. I'm sure once you get past the Ohio match the Edge will become your primary gun. Congratulations!

Mix & match isn't a problem. Dawson can tell you how to measure you front sight that you have now so that you can match it to theirs for proper allignment. I too like the .100 in green. I think the green stands out better in low light. Dawson sights come with both green and red fibers so you can choose what works best for you.

I picked up the Brazos High Performance Edge last year and the 4 tuned mags. You won't be disappointed.

Looks like Powder Valley has VihtaVuori powder in stock but you will have haz-mat fees associated with it. Get some buddies to pitch in on primers, powder and haz-mat fees it will end up being cheaper.

You guys are lucky... I have had a 550 for probably over 20 years now and purchased a 650 this past winter and have yet to brake something! Maybe I deserve a discount since I have never needed the no BS warranty.

Got Dawson adjustable on my 9mm Pro with his fiber optic front as well. I also have several other pistols have his fiber optic front sight. No complaints here.

I just installed the DP adjustable rear sight and .265 tall fiber optic front sight on my 9mm Pro and it is dead on. The pistol always shot low with factory sights but not anymore!

I love my Bare TRS! I also like my two Wilson's and my Brown. But my go to gun for an afternoon at the range is my Thunder Ranch Special. There is just something about the gun I really like. It has the 1.5" guarantee but it's not that, I think it's just the work horse of my 1911 collection. I have shot some USPSA matches with it but the night sights are harder for my old eyes to pick up so I have retired it from competition and went to an STI gun for USPSA. You just can't go wrong with a Bare.

ManNamedJed is probably talking about setting up your sizing die on a tool head by itself so that you can lube your brass, size it in the loader (with sizing die by its self in a tool head), remove it, run it through the tumbler to remove lube, trim it if needed, then run it through the loader again this time to prime-powder-seat-crimp (your second tool head). If you try to do it all in the normal progressive way it can make a mess with the case lube all over everything. At least that’s the way I do it on my 550, on the 650 I only run pistol cases through it.

For single stack a lot of guys are using Blade-Tech Kydex holsters. Just make sure it is not a dropped and offset holster or if it is you remove that part so it attaches directly to the belt. I was going to put a link on here to one but I don't have enough posts on this site yet so maybe someone else will.

I sure like mine. I've only put 525 rounds through it but it hasn't had the first hiccup. Even my Baer Thunder Ranch Special had a couple of misfeeds during the 500 round brake in so I'm impressed with this gun. I like the sharp checkering it really grips your hand. The saber tooth cut on the slide also grips real well and there won’t be any slipping off the slide with it. The only thing I would have liked would have been the fiber optic front site which I may add later, this model didn't have it. Accuracy is outstanding, didn't even have to adjust the sights when I took it out of the box. Slide to frame fit is really good and it locks up tight, no rattles here. This is my fist STI but it has found a home with my Wilsons, Brown, and Baer. I would post a picture but I don't have enough posts on this site.

I had the same problem with Dillon 9mm dies. Some brands of cases/bullets were worse than others so I purchased the U-die and it took care of my problem. I had read that the thickness of the case and some bullets were probably the problem but I have a lot of mixed 9mm brass and change bullets from time to time and didn't want to mess with sorting thick wall cases from thin and worry about which bullets worked and which didn't.
