The Havoc is built on a caspian high cap frame, and half the battle to get a caspian to run is finding good mags the original caspian mags with silver tubes were the best, they looked cheap but take a amazing amount of abuse and kept on going. If you can find some that are not beat to s#!t, I’d get some, also after the AWB expired in 2004, Caspian did sell the old style mags for a few years in a black finish and silver. stay away from the original blued mags, those were rubbish Caspian sold a new style mag with a cape base pad, I have some for my 40, and the base pad are great, the rest of the mag not so much MBX currently makes mag that are marked caspian/tangfolio that work but are a bit pricy, you can also get mecgar large frame tanfogilio mag that can be modified to work in a caspian

For travel by airlines various 9mm factory boxes, I found it easier when traveling due to the airline personnel recognizing it as ammo boxes, I’ve had them question MTM boxes. Yes the MTM’s are better, but trying to explain that at ticket counter usually doesn’t end well. I’ve also gotten into the habit of going to the airlines FAQ page, and printing their firearms and ammo policy and having it handy. another benefit of factory boxes is I toss them at the match, less stuff to haul back home.

Idk about super but I built a 9 SS with a frame that had a 45 ramp and it feeds perfectly I think it’s more a matter of getting good mags

I seem to recall Taccom saying not to use a crush washer to time their comps because you could damage the barrel due to it being thin Also 9mm barrels used to be commonly threaded 1/2x36, same as the 7.62x39 which made it harder to do stupid things

Thanks for the info I was an unintentional beta tester for the rts2 having bought one when they first came out and quite frankly got a bit annoyed when the latest and greatest kept going back to get “upgraded” .

I alway dryfire with mags loaded with dummies 1st of all, the the dummy rounds prevents the feed lips from becoming a knife edge when it hits the magwell 2nd the feel and force need to seat the mag is different using a empty mag compared to a full one, you ever see a mag fall out after a reload, I’d guess that shooter doesn’t practice with full mags

1st off, I wouldn’t get a 750 without the case feeder, without it you’d be hand feeding cases into the feed tube every 15-20 rounds. If ceiling height is an issue, you can cut the case feeder mounting tube shorter. I did the 650 for my main pistol calibers and a 450 for everything else, and after awhile I realized I almost never used the 450 and kinda hated using it. Over time I ended up converting all my calibers over to the 650 and unbolted the 450 and gave it away. if you are unable to mount the case feeder, I wouldn’t bother getting the 750. If you can squeeze in the case feeder, I’d sell the two 550 and convert everything over

Because that’s a slippery slope the USPSA doesn’t want to go down if they allowed 38 super scored major in SS, then next will be major 9, after that both allowed scored major in limited also in SS, major is limited to 8 rounds, so 357 sig doesn’t have a competitive capacity advantage over any other round scored major.

L10 and the 10 round production preceded the current rule book to let guys like me shoot a major without having to borrow magazines, but I also feel having separate classifications for L10 and limited was stupid. now back on topic, do we really want another division where you "need" a 5K blaster to be competitive, we jokingly call CO open lite, welfare open etc. but CO is where you put a dot on a glock and you can be competitive for around a grand. I started with a Tasco pdp2 and the larger pdp3 tube sights on my open guns, and when the c-more first came out I thought it was stupid, I'd see guys with them do the old c-more dance trying to find the dot. I was convinced I was right until I bought a gun with one, then I realized I was the stupid one for not trying one earlier. The only advantage the tube sight had over the c-more was it was easier to find the dot on the draw due to the tube, the disadvantage is I'd get tube focused and my eyes were locked to the tube while transitioning from target to target.
