  1. I’ve been running red dots since the 90’s, starting with a tasco pdp2 and pdp3, back then you’d send your brand new scope off to the dot doctor to get them bullet proofed, and I broke every single one of them switched to c-more serendipity and slide rides, most of those went back to c-more for repair, were they junk, no we just abuse them to the point that they wear out. my current rts 2’s both have the v4 board, and so far so good and I’ll stick with them until the current crop of new MRD sights get a proven track record
  2. I have a rts2, version 1 that I got in 2012?, and it’s been back to them 3 times and have never been charged. The warranty is for a year but c-more’s been great about Upgrading and repairing it.
  3. interesting so it’s a retention holster with a release lever, how easy is it to hit the release lever on the draw and does it automatically lock when you reholster. thanks for the info, the safariland website other than having a pretty picture of it, kinda sucks on how it operates
  4. Question on the Havoc, i run caspian wide body's how is the retention with the holster unlocked, any possibility of it falling out
  5. I run them on my pcc’s the biggest advantage was I already owned them and they were sitting safe in addition to the above you can change dot modules easily, I went from a 8 moa to a 4 recently. The 8 moa seem huge because it sits about a foot closer to the eye on a pcc as opposed to a hand gun for batteries, if you cannot find a 1/3N cell, you can stack 2, 357 batteries
  6. The taccom barrel has a short comp with a “flashhider” milled in the meet the 16” requirement
  7. Howzit yes you can run your pistol Ammo thru your pcc however with the velocity increase my 135pf pistol Ammo chronoed at over 150pf In the pcc rather then work up a new load, I simply dropped my bullet weight from 135 for pistol to 115 for pcc, same powder charge, and I don’t have to adjust anything on the press and my PF for both is 135
  8. Simple test load a dummy round or if your gun will feed empty brass that’ll works better, remove the mag and hand cycle did the round eject out the top or fall out the bottom, if it fell out the bottom, your extractor tension is loose also you put in a heavier spring, 16.5 is standard, a heavier spring will retard the rearward motion of the slide, reducing the energy needed to extract and eject the case your ejector is standard for 45 acp, I wouldn’t put and extended
  9. I’ve got both, the the spring gauge is only as good as your ability to react to the hammer falling and stopping pulling the gauge at the exact same moment With a NRA weight set, you hook the gauge on the trigger and slowly lift the gun, if it holds 2lbs, but breaks at 2 1/4 you’ll know That you have a 2 1/4 lbs trigger.
  10. Got the die in, first off the machining and polishing are nice and the lock ring is the same size as Dillion’s. the decapping pin has a flat wire spring and wiggles a little, in use I found if the pin wasn’t perfectly line up with the flash hole, the decapping pin would walk its way into the flash hole and deprime the case I ran around 300 cases thru it and it worked flawlessly
  11. I’ve shot thousands of blue bullet thru my 38 SC open guns, I got a little leading in the comp but swabbing it with kroil and letting it sit until the next time I shot it would blow most of it out Also experiment with keeping the same powder charge and go with a 115 gn bullet, because coated takes less powder than jacketed to reach the same velocity. I did and they PF pretty close to each other, and the recoil and dot movement were the same
  12. I ordered the Lyman, I’ll report b@ck when it comes in
  13. Competition rig, velcroed To the side of the safe i stick adhesive back Velcro To the safe then stick the rigs to that
  14. Anyone got one I’m using a lee decapping die that kinda works about 95% of the time and I’m looking to upgrade https://www.lymanproducts.com/brands/lyman/dies-die-sets/pro-dies/universal-spring-loaded-decapping-die edited due to damn auto correct
  15. Which frame a single stack 1911, I’d just get a new frame, it may be cheaper and with better results anything else I’d look at getting a plate welded or using some of the existing hole screw it on, then drill and tap that pete single is highly regarded on the 1911 forums for his welding https://petesingle.com/#gallery_div
  16. Put the lower and pin punch in a clear ziplock bag and take apart in the bag, that way if the pin flys, it’ll be trapped in the bag
  17. Scheumann barrels says the c/p is stronger http://schuemann.com/Portals/0/Documentation/Webfile_Ramped and Unramped barrels.pdf but I’d ask your gunsmith Which cut and barrel he prefers
  18. I’ve heard nato spec sub gun ammo and that’s it’s loaded hotter than commercial and I’d be leery about shooting it your gun before I’d worry about springs I’d worry about case support, especially if your barrel is unramped
  19. I just went thru the same exact thing, I called Dillon and they sent a new spring and primer index arm, I haven’t loaded any rounds yet but it seems to have fixed it. A couple of thing the guy at Dillon told me is in the manual, the drawing of the primer system shows the wave spring In the wrong orientation, make sure the spring is set with the domed side up, also and adjust the primer station locator arm so it doesn’t touch the case because if it is holding the case too tightly it will cause crushed primers and the residue will gum it up
  20. PSA colt lower, it was an early model and I had to slightly bent the ejector towards the center and file down the nose of the bolt catch to clear the rounds in mag after those 2 mods it’s runs i also have a cmmg colt lower and I ran into constant ftf, after trying different mags, uppers, bullet lengths and loads to get it to feed I compared the bullet guides from the psa and the cmmg, and noticed the ramp on the cmmg bullet guide was Rather blunt and higher than the psa. Which resulted in the bullets striking the blunt portion of the feed ramp then going up the bullet guide
  21. I use brake cleaner followed up with silicon spray
  22. Forum discounts are 5% they have a quantity discount if you order 10k or more of 10to50 for 10% off for 9mm heads that’s around 3 cases
  23. Rangertrace If you could find someplace to stay, many hotels are shutting down for months after the last guest leave i went to work yesterday and it was surreal, it used to be packed with tourist, hundreds of employees working together yesterday it was a ghost town, handful of remaining guests, a few dozen workers, most of whom will be furloughed
  24. Damn and my wife thinks I got issues
  25. Taccom post awhile ago not to use a crush washer on a AR9 barrel because the barrel wall is thin and torquing on it with a crush washer to time the ports straight up may damage the barrel you might try using a peel washer instead
