  1. I think it’s funny as hell
  2. I just had my S&W 5906 it by impact machines in LA, he did an awesome job and the turn around time was a couple of weeks https://www.facebook.com/impactmachinela/
  3. I had one, I gave up using the port and glued it shut and got a Dillon media separator faster and way less aggravation, my plug came loose a couple of times and dumped all the media on the floor, plus when I did use the port the racket it made loud
  4. Call me old fashioned, but let’s lump it in open where it belongs
  5. I spray kroil in my comp after I shots and let it sit until the next time I shoot or clean the gun it does a good job of softening the crud, with my open gun it blows the crud out when I shoot it
  6. I have one sitting in the junk drawer, I broke 2 decapping and Lyman didn’t list a replacement the last time I looked
  7. I gave up on decapping dies, I use an old sizing die instead, I figured if I’m going to run them thru my press, I might as well resize them also my process is I wet tumble, dry, lube, resize and decap
  8. The pact club timer III is a good Basic simple timer, big display, easy to use to review your split and transition times, easy to set par times the pocket pro Bluetooth has a hit factor calculator built into the app
  9. 2 can play at that game if a MD at my club did that, the next match I MD id put hard cover and no shoots on all targets, plus small plates at 20 yards every stage would have facing up range starts for the pistol shooters etc to quote a rather infamous King, “can’t we all just get along”
  10. Agreed with most stock 1911’s I would replace the extractor and trigger group anyway if they come out with a threaded barrel version and if someone made a effective comp for it, that could be a very “cheap” entry level open gun
  11. Pretty much my experience also load data between 231/244 is pretty close if not the same
  12. 4.0 grains of w231 4.2 grains of ramshot competition
  13. Not a true closed emitter, the sig Romero 2 comes in a 3, 6, 10 and circle dot reticle https://www.sigsauer.com/romeo2-1x30-mm.html
  14. 11.5 and 14.5 both pinned and welded I don’t adjust anything on the press when I switch, partly because I haven’t needed to, mainly because I’m lazy
  15. I use a Dillon trimmer with their trim dies on my 650 for 223, 308 and 30-06 the trim dies and set up on dedicated tool heads with a resizing die in station 1 and the trimmer in station 3 one thing I wish Dillon sold is a clamp style lock ring for upper thread portion of the trim die so I wouldn’t have to adjust the trimmer every time I switch it between tool heads
  16. I had one of those, from what I remember there was a rumor that the frame was supplied by caspian, I don’t remember what ramp cut it had, but I don’t think it was anything unusual I also Remember it was rough and took a ton of work to get it to run and cosmetically the frame was far from pretty Is it worth building a upper for it, idk you could spend 1k on a new upper, get it to run like a top, but at the end of the day it’ll still be a Mitchell
  17. Tator instead modifying your frame have you tried to get a blank mount and drill that to match the holes in your frame i went that route to rescope my old caspian with the wegand pattern holes dawson and cheely used to sell them
  18. Damn a Star reloader, I haven’t heard of those in a long time 4.0 grains of 231 gave me a 135 PF thru my 320 x5 legion
  19. Back up guns are like the spare tire on your car, you don’t need it until you do my back up gun is my old one, it may not be identical to my primary gun but it’s close and it will allow me to salvage what’s left of the match
  20. There’s a torque spec on the mounting screws a buddy over tightened his and it wouldn’t hold zero, no clicks, I remounted it to the torque spec and so far it’s been ok.
  21. I stopped using FCD, I was having issues with my major 9 ammo passing a hundo case gauge, I swapped out the FCD with a Redding crimp die and and it pretty much solved it. I also do a double pass on my 9 brass, after I wet tumble and dry, I resize and deprime, the FCD is placed on station 4 on my 650 with the crimp backed off so it doesn’t touch the case and resize the case again.
  22. Try this load some 124 with your 147 powder charge and chrono them thru you pcc and see if the make PF that’s what I ended up doing, pistol ammo I run 135s, pcc 115 blues With the same powder charge both PF around 135 through the respective firearms
  23. question are you manually turning the scope on and off? I have a Romero 3max that I turned on when I got it and and never turned off, I let do it shake awake and I’m still on the original battery and so far so good i know I just jinxed myself
  24. It’ll cost way more money, but if you change your optic to a rts2 or similar the entire back of the slide is exposed to grab on to and you don’t need a racker
