  1. no wonder you did so well, you did shoot a I Don't Practice Anymore match.
  2. if you don't what to spend a lot of money, get the uncle mikes kydex. I have one for my production rig and it fast, secured and cheap. the only down side to it, is it's so loose, the gun rattles in it. if you decide that you really like ISPC, then go and look for a better holster. you'll need a belt that is wide, thick and stiff enough to support the weight of the gun and mags, at least 1 1/2 inches wide. I use an buckleless inner/outer belt with my uncle mike's, but its so stiff and thick, it was a pain ti set it up.
  3. 230 grn lead over 4.6 gr of W231, is a real soft load that power factors around 171. I use to shoot the 200 gr, because everybody else shot them. I tried the 230s and loved them, softer and more controlable, than the 200s.
  4. if you don't want to spring for highcap mags, pickup a few mecgar p14, 10 rounders, their cheaper and a lot better then the stock para mags. as far a solvents go, I use mpro-7 on every part of the gun.
  5. the problem with common courtesy and common sense is that it just isn't very common anymore. your bitching about mall doors, hell take a look at the way people drive, their in such a rush to kill themselves, they don't mind pushing you out of the way to obtain their goal.
  6. I shot over 10,000 of those thru my super and 45's, the only complaint I have about them is their slipperly,(well dah, their moly coated) and you if you don't have a good hold on them when you pick them up, they slip out of your fingers.
  7. is it the gun or the shooter that shoots? it depends, back when my soul was pure, my guns were stock and knelt at the alter of Chuck Taylor, it was the shooter. now that I've been seduced by the pleasures of the Dark Side, and use a c-more sited, multiported blaster in the 40 kilowatt range, its the gun, its gotta be the gun, because there no way I would shoot delta mikes. btw you think I'm watching too much Si Fi.
  8. erik, yes put it on the cone, on my barrels, slide glide doesn't dry out or burn off like most lubes. and after a thousand rounds, sg will still be there, slick as sh*t, and not on the lens of your scope.
  9. what to do with a few thousand 115s loaded? well you could practice a few thousand 1 shot draws and reload drills:-). or you could just shoot them and train yourself to watch how the dot tracks. also go to a heavier bullet, I like how the 124s feel to me.
  10. erik, on my open guns, I use slide glide #1 on the barrel, top locking lugs, and link, kel lube on the accu-rails, works great. tried sg #1 on the rails once. the damn thing wouldn't cycle at all.
  11. I've been using SP2 for a couple of years, I really have not noticed if the gun gets any dirtier than with any other powder that I've used in my super. however, my press is another story. SP2 is a very fine grain ball powder and it gets everywhere. it's so fine that on the dillion powder measure it gets in the gap between the powder bar and powder measure, and fall out everywhere, press, floor, etc.
  12. socialist states such as hawaii and NJ with high cap magazine bans are an other reason for L-10 and production. the simple facts are that high cap mags manufactured after sept. 94 are illegal. in many states hig cap mags are illegal. uspsa had the choice to adapt with the time and preservere or stay the same and die. have L10 or production hurt competetion in the other classes? not that I can see. have they brought in new shooters? yes have these new shooter hurt competetion in any way? no, (unless they beat me, then the answer is yes) all they have done is to allow people to enjoy our sport with a single stack 1911, a s&w or sig 9mm, without having to go up and up with a open gun. it's also allowed me to hang up my open gun for a weekend and shoot a 9mm in production and have fun.
  13. you want to see open 10, shoot a match in hawaii, we've been doing it for 8 years due to the laws here. if your ever at a big match, see a guy with a tan, open gun and a big stick in it. fire a few shots dump the mag, start to swear as he re-loads a fresh one in, ask him where he's from, odds are it hawaii. we just can't seem to count past 10 anymore:-) btw if you can hear him swear, he's usually calling him self a dumb a**
  14. no, only for production, L-10 is simply limited with 10 round mags
  15. been there, done that, I shot a 15 round sig p226 for years before there was a production or limited class, going up against the 10 round open guns of the era. and let me tell you that it fun but it wasn't pretty. having the extra mag capacty was nice, but shooting minor in a game that geared toward major, I found that having the few extra rounds in the gun was not a big advantage. I found that I had to shoot fast, just as fast as the open guns, and shoot A's. Shooting C and D hurt your score to much. and in the end, if you want a good score, you have to shoot every stage perfectly, with no margin for error. in the end I just got a .45.
  16. try to use a different playback tape adapter. I would guess the one you have is broken, and they are fairly cheap at walmart.
  17. becare of hanging too much things on a benelli. I've been told because it's recoil operated, the more addional weight you put on it, the less reliable they come. my benelli has both a red dot scope and a side saddle (accually, I mounted the side saddle on the scope mount). before I put all that on, it used to run with AA trap, now strictly heavy game or hotter. also if you mount a side saddle, becareful not to over tighten it on the receiver, if you do, you can squeeze the receiver and bind the bolt.
  18. Ron, try the 124's, I played with 115 with SP2, wap etc, and the muzzle blast and shock wave made my front teeth hurt. the 124's while still LOUD, are alot easier on your teeth, ears, etc.
  19. thanks be, I shot about 20 or 30 thousand of billy's bullet a few years ago in super and 45, and love them, after I ran out, I could never find him to get more. I give rudy a call.
