Oh, then that means I'm behind and need to man up! Off to the bourbon cabinet, see in Kentucky we don't have liquor because if there isn't mostly bourbon in there.....we'll then your a import. roflol.gif

...for nice occasions. We call that a Bar-B-Que gun. Needs a full quill ostrich leather holster to go with.

Couple of Colts

Series 70 is about box stock except switched out the Mainspring housing for a flat one. I think the 70 Series blue Colts are near the peak of Hartfords production. Peak was just post WW I, or so I say. Series 80 Commander was a Rescue gun. When I bought it cheap at my local shop had been home gunsmithed to the point it would not work at all. Now reliable and accurate, since the picture changed to a flat housing too. Don't think much of the 80 series complication but for everyday carry the drop safety is not a bad idea.

Well I guess it is time to throw mine in the mix. Matt Cheely built Caspian race ready frame in 9mm. this is the pic Matt sent me before the slide was blued.

A new single stack that I just got for my new shooting partner--my wife! She tried my G34, but really preferred my SS .45. The recoil was just a bit much for her, and I didn't want her to develop a flinch, or to associate anything negative with the gun, so I picked up this 9mm Trojan. I had it all of about two hours before I took after it with a file. Wilson mag release, S&A magwell, ambi safety and a Dawson F.O. front sight. Its a lot of fun to shoot, and I'm really impressed with the build quality for a production line gun.
