Looked in the rule book and could not find anything. After the “make ready command,” competitor loads then places firearm on table and start getting mags out to place on table. Anything wrong with placing loaded gun on the table? Is there a quotable rule?

Got a .270 guide rod from Carver and note said to run flat wire ISMI recoil springs, but the springs I got will not fit, but work fine on my .250” steel guide rod. Any suggestions on what springs to run. This will be on gen5 g17.

Not exactly a 1911, but this seemed like the best place. Anyway picked up a SA35 Hi Power and really like it, but front sight sucks for these old eyes and is too tall. Found some combat tritium sights but really desiring a fiber optic front sight, preferably a little shorter to raise poi. Any suggestions?

So not wanting to debate why, but put a Brownells G48 slide and barrel on my G 43. Gun runs , feeds and ejects without issue. However, it has created a very heavy 2stage trigger. All internals for slide were pulled from Oem g43 slide. So with the difference in tolerance between the two cause enough drag on safety plunger to create this? Where else should I be looking?

Got the Carver captured rod and 15# spring on order thanks

I’ve done this conversion with my gen4 with the little conversion plug part. But, seeing a warning that this conversion does not work for Gen 5 as guide rod is longer. Any recommendations on correct way to do this?

A year ago I was excited to get a VP9L Match, only to find out after purchase it was not legal for CO, however now I can throw a magwell on and run it in LO. Not ideal, but at least it has a place to play.

I think one contributor to the variation we see in the amount of smoke we see are the weather/environmental conditions. No wind, high humidity, sun coming up over the back berm, etc, all enhance the presence of smoke we see. That being said , I prefer SP and Cleanshot for less smoke with coated bullets

This^^^, In th past Clays and WST were my favorites, but I’ve really the results I’ve been getting with VV310. Lot’s of powders “work” but these three are my preferred powders

Just now seeing this. Sorry for not being clear. Pasters we were having issues with we’re not from SC. However, we are currently ordering targets and pasters from SC, and are having good results. They are ordered through our club . Thank you for checking on this

I find them a touch on the hard side. Bumped my DW 9mm 1911 hammer spring from 17 to 19; and now getting 100%

Anybody know what BJ Was shooting in Carry Optics at the World Speed Shooting Championship? I know at some point he shot a Wilson G17.
