Welcome Chris! You are in the right state for lots of USPSA shooting. Come on up to the State Championship match in Frostproof 1/15-16 if only to meet folks.

I saw one in use at my range a couple of weeks ago. The owner was very happy with it and I put in my order with Labradar the next day for an anticipated April delivery. Can I justify it? Not really...but I can say the same thing about a lot of things.
Shannon's Monster Match is one of my favorite matches of the year...of course it helps that Frostproof is only a 1.5 hr drive. Wife and I shot this match SS more than once which was a lot of reloads and a lot of fun - and of course you shoot in costume! We run Open these days, but still need to reload of course with 50 round stages.
In any event, it's a great match to shoot if you ever have the chance.
You mean the RO can see in the chamber when you do the flip? I hate seeing the flip. And when I do I don't even pretend to be looking at the chamber. I'm watching hands and muzzles looking for a sweep or 180. I always make the shooter go back to showing me an empty chamber after the sideshow is over.
^^
This.
Happy to report that I am now several matches into the v3 RTS2s and they are both holding up. Still too soon to call them good to after having sent them back to CMore twice, but it's looking promising.
Last year I went with a Kobalt 4-cf Cement Mixer from Lowes and I could not be happier.
1 bucket of sorted brass, 2 buckets media. I run it with a cover on - took it off for the video so you can see the action.

The Kobalt has an resin drum which is much quieter then a metal drum.
If a reload on the move will be needed, I would prefer to move from left to right (as a right hander) to eliminate the possibility of breaking 180 on the reload. If a reload is not a factor, then it does not matter which. I would decide on the walk-through which felt faster/more natural to me.
I run Castrol Power RS 5w40 - because that's what I run in my motorcycle. If I don't have any of that laying around when it's time to fill the bottle, I usually have CLP or something else on hand. I have tried pretty much everything and personally don't think it makes a whole lot of difference.
I think that's fine Doc, just take it slow and learn. I started on a 650 and moved to a 1050 within 6 months for the same reason...volume as both my wife and I shoot. Six months after that I motorized with the Forcht conversion and added a Mr. Bullet feeder and couldn't be happier with my set-up. Oh, and the RF-100...I don't think I loaded even 10 tubes before I decided that I didn't need to be doing that anymore...lol.
There are two places we always stop at when we're out at USA.
