    Two Eyes Open

Ok. Shooting USPSA Production Division. Keeping both eyes open I still see double vision. I see two sights and two targets. I know what sight and target to use and I really concentrate on the the front post. Just wondering if the double vision thing is normal. Thanks.
  2. I don't see any A/M/GAs running TSOs . With major power loads does the 2011 style trigger matter more the faster you go? Do you think a hinged trigger contributes to pulling the second shot of a pair low vs a 2011 trigger - all other things being equal.
  3. What a personal s#!t show today. Local match, hoping to run the Glock 45 I’ve switched to for CO. Gun was zeroed, function checked and ready. Mags loaded. The first stage had some build problems that had to be corrected that didn’t get noticed until a few shooters ran (who then would have to reshoot the updated stage). Because of that i changed my plan and decided to run right to left, which I still think is the better option. The problem is I planned my reload location poorly, then compounded it by stumbling while reloading on the move and broke the 180. I wish I could say I
  4. Hi guys, Hoping someone can chime in and help steer me in the right direction here...Shot a little indoor match last night (4 stages) and had several light strikes/hammer falls on each stage. This is my match gun, barely has 1K rounds through it. I have never had this happen with this pistol (practice gun was a different story) so i want to get this squared away before my next match. Here is my current set up: Ammo: Blue Bullets 125g Winchester small pistol primers Vectan BA 9.5 powder OAL @ 1.125 +/- Mixed range brass Pistol:
  5. I finished my first 2011 build. To my surprise it actually shoots and it is more accurate than I am. I am having some reliability issues, though. First issue is a sticking of the slide. When to the gun starts to get hot after a few rounds, the slide begins to get stuck in battery and it takes a lot of force to rack the slide and eject the spent casing. When the gun cools down again, seems to work fine for a bit. Any ideas on why this is happening?
  6. Yes it's that time again.... Better early ...So we can line up our vacation days for us worker bees... Kindly Post 2020 Matches here... 8. Those that know me, know this has been a long time coming. Hope this is a helpful little nugget I wrote up. This is just some stuff I like and what I use. Having used just about every part and part combo this is what works for me. I have reasons for each part. I get alot of questions and i hope this finds some well. As always YMMV. @PatriotDefense @johnbu 9mm GT Stroked slide Beveled mag well(transition between mag well helps smooth reloads) Tuned 9mm Extractor(typically factory extractor is 38. 9mm needs more tension for reliability) Polished and Lapped rails.
  9. Tried looking, but Not sure if they were posted already. Changes are highlighted in red. Biggest change is the 59oz weight limit in production and CO. https://uspsa.org/documents/minutes/20200214_7 APPENDIX D4_D7 changes.pdf
  10. Hello, I am brand new to reloading and looking for some recommendations and and load data to use for 147gr FP Black Bullet International (BBI) and 147gr blue bullets both RN and FP. I have Ramshot Silhouette and Accurate #7 powders, losing mixed brass with CCI 500 primers. Intended for 9mm minor for USPSA. I called BBI and asked their recommendations and he said those powders would not get best results and recommend a shotgun powder. Just looking for a little guidance if anyone has good load recipe with what I have or a powder they would recommend for those bullets. Thanks!
  11. Am I still USPSA Production class legal to put a Shadow 2 paddle mag release on a SP01? My understanding is that it would be as the rules say that you can use parts from another gun that is on the approved list but I wanted to check with the experts first.

    Accu Shadow 2

I've got an Accu Shadow with quite a few miles on it, and have planned to replace it at the end of the year. I really wanted to get another identical Accu, but now that they've come out with the Shadow 2 I think I should make the switch. I just looked on the CZ Custom website and they're selling the Accu Shadow 2 now. That's the one I want. Any idea when it could be approved? How does it work? Seemed like the Shadow 2 made the list pretty fast. Thanks
  13. The New Middle Tennessee Sporting Association has become a member club of USPSA (TN-13). We plan of having our first match on Saturday November 23rd 2019. Start time is 9:00 AM. 4 field courses, one speed drill and classifier CM 18-09. Looking at 167 rounds. Match fee is $25. This is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. 14. I have noticed a significant improvment in my ability to manuever through a course of fire in USPSA since I started to take my physical fitness more seriously. Howvever, I am always looking to improve my movement and was wondering what everyone was doing to train for compettive shooting. I am not talking about gun handling and entries/exists, but more physical fitness to have more explosive movements. Thanks.
  15. Newish to the forums! Also new to USPSA (July 2017). Just noticed that guys would do some friendly motivational challenges to race the next class. I wanted to attempt to do the same to encourage to get out and push ourselves to move up! I guess we can give it to the end of the month to see if it draws any attention. Just post a reply and put your USPSA member number in the post and I will compile them and track them monthly. We can see our progress at the end of the year. Or not....:( Robert Zuniga A104434 Production Limited
  16. Hey All - new to the forum so I apologize if there is a thread on this already. I recently had a custom 2011 built for me to shoot Open in USPSA. It’s a middy (4.5” barrel), steel grip and chambered in 9mm. Beautiful gun. One thing I am trying to adjust to is having to modify my grip slightly from the plastic 9mm minor guns I have been shooting for the past few years. I always got as high up the slide with my support hand as possible with the plastic guns, but on the 2011 it seems getting high up gets you into trouble with things like extended mag release button, scope mount, thumbrest, etc. A
  17. I have always been a fan of the m&p line and would like to get into some competative shooting. I am military and tend to move around a bit and don't want to close the door on particular classes. Is it possible to get one pistol that can do major and minor without getting out of production or service pistol class? I have thought about a long slide m&p 40 core and dropping in a 9 barrel, but I think this maybe prohibited. Thanks for the pointers. I do reload, but 9mm bullets are more economical than 40s and I give up mag capacity.
  18. Let me kickoff by just saying that BEnos has been an amazing resource that I've utilized over the years. I've learned an immense amount from the wealth of knowledge in the threads on this board, as well as in-person from many of the participating members. Additionally, I've collected my share of lumps as I've grown both in the sport and as an individual, gathering information about what works and what doesn't, "on and off the field". In my quest to better myself further and share what I've learned with others in this community, I've decided to finally go ahead and post here in the "range di
  19. "Standby..." After shooting my first 6 stages at the WNPL I feel like getting pie somewhere. My friend who is a Grand Master talked me into this new adventure believing i was a good fit. James walked me through the different divisions landing me in carry optics. I loaded up some nice light 10mm using a 40cal recipie that chrono'd out at 1090fps with 180gr fmj's. I had to buy a non ported barrel for my 20c, and some mag pouches but ran "newbie" with a LAG holster and single piece gunbelt. in the end, i only had three goals.. dont get DQ'd, dont loose, and have fun. Im h
  20. Hi All, This Is my first post so please forgive me if I don't follow the forum etiquette correctly. I've been Shooting Production for about a year (14 Matches). I have been using Black Scorpion mag pouches. They worked fine but have to many screws that like to back out. I was running a Black scorpion belt but have upgraded to the very stiff DAA belt (and love it).Im now in the market for new pouches. My question is which pouches do yall recommend for Production division shooting a Glock 34? I have done some research and have narrowed it down to CR Speed, DAA Racer, and just started looking in
  21. Hello, My my name is Alex and am looking forward to starting USPSA in Carry Optics. I am happily married and a father of 2 (2.5 yrs & 1mth). I reside in San Diego, Ca and am planning to Dallas, TX by the end of the year. I plan on running my Glock 19 with an RMR. I come from a “tactical” shooting background and just want to stay active and become a better more consistent shooter. Pictures below i plan on running, minus a few things[emoji1687]Here we go!
  22. Alright a new season has started. I am super stoked for 2019. 2017 was my first non-level one match (Local) where I won production B class at the Indiana Sectional. In 2018 I shot my second level II match and again got a class win at the Indiana Sectional, but this time in A class. 2018 I shot my first ever match outside Indiana and first match above a level II, the USPSA Factory Gun Nationals (Production). I was able to walk away with 6th in A class and 53rd overall out of over 240 in production. I was really excited to see that I can occasionally hang with the big dogs, I e
  23. I purchased an STI Edge last about a year ago to move from Single Stack into Limited. I like the STI, but lately I've been thinking about shooting something more like my work guns. So I've been considering shooting Limited with a Glock 35 or 24. I know that this subject has probably been covered previously, but I couldn't find a thread that really laid out the pro and cons of both platforms. I see a lot of lightly modified G35s at local matches, but it seems like the pros that run Glocks prefer the G24. It also seems like most of G35s I see being used by pros have a lot of added frame wei
  24. I didn't know where else to ask this question, so I decided to post it here. I started my membership with USPSA a while ago, but never really shot matches due to my work schedule. I'm finally starting to get some free time, so I'm shooting more. I know I want a CZ Custom Shop Shadow variant, but I don't know at what point will I see a benefit from it in my scores. I currently shoot a bone stock Glock 34 Gen4 with Proctor Y-sights. I just shot my first classifier match and based on my scores, I'm assuming I'll be a low B or maybe a high C shooter (Scores are not up yet).
