  1. Hey Classic Jon...what OAL are you loading those Bayou 147s to? Thanks.
  2. Just wanted to let everyone know that this has moved to an "active" group buy over on Cast Boolits. In case you are interested, the link to the buy is here. Disclaimer: I have no connection to the seller....but I think it's a heck of an idea and have ordered a couple.
  3. Thanks I had not seen this guys videos...a lot more detail then some of the others I have seen on YouTube.
  4. Hello all, Does anyone have an extra copy of the XL650 set-up dvd that you are willing to part with? Finally got my second hand 650 back from Dillon and I am amazed at what they did with the rusty box of parts I sent them...thanks Dillon!! ...but I would like to make sure I am setting things up properly as it is also my first progressive press. On a side note, I am having a steel stand fabricated to mount the press and I will be sure to post pics when complete. In any event, if you have an extra copy of the video please let me know. Thanks. -blue
  5. Oh, I am so in on that deal. Thanks for posting the link!
  6. Well someone's thinking....so where can one of these be purchased? A google search of Subtle-T Primer Filler only find's the video? Anyone else heard of this one?
  7. Another of these is up on eBay. Will be interesting to see what it fetches. The last 2 went for $150 & $170...the RF-100 looks better every day. Though I am still amazed that someone else has not come out with a Vibra-Prime type product.
  8. Yeah, the final bid on it was $170 - unbelievable. Didn't these things sell for $35-40 when they were around?? On the RF100 - I am certain it is a great product but $300+ is not in my primer tube filler budget but I would be all over a $100 solution.
  9. Wow, there is a "New" Frankford Arsenal Vibra-Prime on eBay that looks like will sell for half the price of an RF-100. I can not believe that Frankford does not see a market for this discontinued product. Astounding - I know I would be a buyer.
  10. Hey all....here is the update. I offered $550 and in the end agreed to $600 which appears to be a pretty good value. Thank you so much everyone for the advice! This is my first press and I know I will need it because my GF and I just starting to shoot IPDA/USPSA and are loving it. I plan to reload .45 acp and 9mm. Some 25 years ago I reloaded shotgun when I shot on a skeet team...I know the concept is the same but as a beginner with pistol ammo I sure have a lot to learn and this forum will be very helpful. In any event, the unit I purchased will be going straight to Dillion for a rebuild. Thanks again everyone for your input. -d
  11. Thanks for the replies everyone. I called Dillion and they will rebuild including return shipping for $57.95 - what a deal!! Taking your advice and making a low offer $550 and will see where it goes. I will post again with the end result. Thanks again all. -d
  12. After emailing the seller, the only additional information I have is that he bought it at an estate sale. Comes with a bullet tray which was not pictured and that he held the loader on his bench and cycled it several times to verify the primer, case feeder and powder drop worked as well as the powder check and primer sensor. Seller does not know the age and claims the corrosion shown is surface rust that can be cleaned up with WD40 and steel wool... Wildkow mentioned above that Dillion will do a complete rebuild so maybe that's an option...but I also agree with the other posters that the delta to new is not that great so I would have to get a smoking deal on this to make it worth the hassle. I know used Dillion in good condition commands upwards of 90% of retail but this is not in that kind of condition to my eye. What would you offer based on what you see? Thanks again.
  13. Should I buy this Dillon 650? What would I need to do to get this back in tip top condition? Here is the description and pictures. Thanks in advance for your advice on this one. Dillon 650 with case feeder - It has sat in a garage for over a year and has a little surface corrosion as noted in picture but everthing functions properly. Set up for 45 ACP - comes with plate and dies; Comes with powder checker; Comes with aluminum roller handle; Come with 1 quick change setup $775.00 obo plus shipping for the package.
