  1. I ordered my DAA gear directly from Saul. With the exchange rate, and the amount of gear depending on what you are buying, the price was much better in my case.
  2. +1 Yup! I have sold off equipment as I have upgraded over time...I should have just started at the top of the Dillon food chain.
  3. LabRadar posted on their Facebook page that they should be widely available staring sometime in April. We'll see...
  4. I use a .45 storage case...same idea. Easily allows picking out the .38 super and 9x21. Another neat trick for sorting .38 super from super comp is to use a .40 case. The rimless super comp will fit into the end of the .40 case, the super will not.
  5. Another possible option....I have traveled extensively with firearms and ammo and I have yet to have an airline weigh my ammo. Not to jinx you, but I wouldn't have any problem putting 500 rounds in my suitcase were I in your shoes.
  6. Just picked one of these up. Perfect for keeping my shellplate clean. Thanks for the tip!
  7. Thats what I would replace first. Every 1050 owner should keep a few of these on hand.
  8. My wife and I are both active USPSA shooters. We have many range friends who are not shooting as much as they used to because of materials shortages. I refuse to be put into that position. From the beginning I have only ordered in bulk and like many, I keep at least a two year supply of primers & powder on hand. Though Powder Valley no longer takes back orders, there are other suppliers that do. The first of the year I put in my powder back-order and I expect it will show up sometime this summer - which is fine by me because I won't need it this year. Call me a hoarder if you like, but we take this sport seriously and I will not caught flat footed by shortages we have/are experiencing.
  9. Another awesome match in the books! My wife and I were plagued by ammo problems (my fault) and still had a great time. After the staff shoot we ran Stage 6 for the main shoot. Final unofficial statistics - the water hazard baptized 14 mags and we had 3 gazelles who actually jumped it - yes they all made it.
  10. I am using a mixer. I have the Kobalt 4 cu yd from Lowes with the poly drum. I clean a 5 gal bucket of brass at a time. 1 bucket of brass and 2 buckets of media. I run 2 hrs in walnut blast media from Harbor Freight sift and then 2 hrs corn cob/nu Finish. Very dirty brass looks like new. Be sure to cover the mixer opening or you will have dust everywhere.
  11. I'm with you Kevin. My wife and I left the theater scratching our heads trying to figure out what the movie was about. An action flick with some dramatic scenes yes, but zero character development and a weak story line.
  12. I agree with you Alan. I am excited about the prospect of the Nats being at USA but I think it should move every couple of years to different parts of the country - maybe a rotation to each of the Area's.
  13. I confirm at the start of every session - though with the micrometer it's pretty much set it and forget it. Mine has never moved and is spot on every time.
  14. +1 on that... My wife loves her Speedcross 3 CS shoes, but my feet are too wide for them. I'm wearing the Sacony Xodus 5.0 GTX this season and they fit me well. Honestly, I think any good trail runner will have similar traits being both light and supportive.
  15. I started with a 650 and moved to a 1050 with a Mr Bulletfeeder within the first year and added the Forcht rotary conversion soon after. I wouldn't worry too much about the 1 year warranty, IMHO the 1050 is pretty bulletproof.
  16. When I was having the same issue with my 1050, I asked Rick Koskela and he said... "...simply use the tapered Dillon powder funnel if you use and properly adjust the Dillon swage back up rod when reloading. (even if not swaging the brass primer pockets). The swage back up rod has an expander step that is similar to the one on the MrBulletfeeder powder funnel. Alternatively… if not swaging, you try installing a Lyman M-Die in the swage position. The M-Die is a case mouth expanding die that is adjustable for depth of expansion." I went back to the Dillon funnel and haved never looked back.
  17. I am a huge Sig fan and when my wife and I started in USPSA we shot production with a P226 and P229. I think most are afraid of the DA first shot, but was never a determent to us. From there we went on to Les Baer for SS and now shoot Open but I would not hesitate to use my P226 in production once again. I always like the weight of the Sig in my hand and have a preference for metal framed guns with hammers.

    RTS 2

Derek @Millennium Custom called and our 2-RTS2s are back from C-More. The good news is that both were upgraded with the latest and greatest. The really disappointing news is that C-More refused to replace the cracked glass under warranty even though there was clearly no physical damage to the sight - the glass simply broke with normal use @1300 rounds. Derek was shocked that C-More would not cover it and is eating the cost himself as a one-time courtesy. Derek is truly a stand-up guy. C-More on the other hand gets a FAIL on this one.
  19. I have an Ultimate Sorter and am pretty happy with it. The biggest PIA for me is having to hand sort 9mm & 38 Supers as the sorter puts them in the same bucket.
  20. I wish I had started with a 1050. Seating the primer on the downstroke is a wonderful thing.
  21. I hope everyone has made sure their USPSA PW was changed anywhere else that it might have been used. Since the site was hacked/published, there have been attempts to access my Microsoft email from Thailand, Indonesia, Chile, Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Italy, Chicago & Russia. Fortunately, I did not use the same pw for my email or anywhere else.

    RTS 2

Sad to report that the glass has cracked on one of our RTS2 sights @1300 rounds. This is on one of the two open guns that were finished in September. According to Derek, C-More is no longer replacing with new - but upgrading/repairing those that are returned. He recommended sending both back to C-More so they are updated with the latest & greatest. I am sure hoping this isn't the start of an ongoing bad experience with C-More. With the 3rd gen, all the kinks should have been worked out.
  23. We are enjoying them so far Matt. See you at the FL Open.
  24. I don't lube. The Forcht drive does not know the difference.
