  1. If I read this right, the gun stopped running after you switched to the taccom buffer i just did the same, and had a similar problem, I did 2 thing to fix it, first I removed the plastic disk, second I locked my bolt back for a week and now my gun runs
  2. The key is to find a lube that stays where you put it, doesn’t dry out and doesn’t burn off I've been using kelube fo years, and is sold by Neil Keller of Keller custom gun, it’s fairly thick, it stays where you put it, it doesn’t dry out and after 1000 rounds there is still oily residue on the outside of my barrel the only place I’ll put slide glide on a open gun are the top and standing lugs and stay away from CLPs, when I clean my gun, I use a solvent, to lube I use a lubricant, CLPs makes sense if your out in the boonies if you’re not use dedicated lubes
  3. If I had to clean or lube my gun during a match I wouldn’t own it My gun must go about 1k between cleaning that way when I’m shooting, I’m concentrating on hitting the targets instead of worrying if my gun will jam
  4. I’ve got both a 6 and a 8 mos rts2 the 8 is perfect, the 6 is a tad small I ran the 6 for years and always wanted a bigger dot
  5. I use the joe bob outfitters ambi, it’s butt ugly, but I like it because it give you the option of 90 or 45%, the right is paddle is thin so it doesn’t hit my hand unlike the other ambi’s I’ve tried i use at 45% not because it faster to take it off safe, but it’s easier to put on safe
  6. Ditto i run a colt mag gun i started doing reloads with the 20 rounders, thinking it’s about the same as a 140 so my reloads should be the same as a pistol, well I was wrong the 20 rounder is too short to get a good grip on and if you hold it the same way as a pistol mag, it’s hard to get a hard enough wack on the bottom to seat it reliably with the 30’s and the beer can grip it’s not a problem, also when you load your mags, make sure with the bullets facing you,the top round is on the right hand side. That way the bullets in the mag will stack so they clear the mag catch window, which allows a more positive reload
  7. looks limcatish interesting rear sight, I wonder how’d it would survived being dropped
  8. I have a shockbottle, I purchased it based on made in the USA shockbottle is a dealer here the owner Shred is a long time contributor here and it works, much tighter than my Dillon gauge
  9. Blue bullets has a discount code for orders of 10k more its on their website
  10. The Easiest way is to buy 10 round mags, shoot them in the match, then sell them in the classified
  11. I’ve run both had a 24e and replaced with a cmc ar9 trigger to me the 24e felt mushy almost like a striker gun the cmc is nice ar trigger not as nice as my jp’s But a huge improvement over my 24e
  12. the pdp 3 had a large field of view but the switch would crap out quick, back then there were a couple of shops that would bullet proof those the pdp2's field of view was small, but the scope would hold up better
  13. I got a used one in my parts bin it's been flat topped and cerakoted black, the cerakote was damaged when I removed the comp pm me if your interested
  14. There’s nothing wrong with that set up, I ran one for years and probably still would if I could find the barrels find a load that’s reliable and and has the dot tracking straight up and down, also play with different bullet weights, that set up vents a ton of gas
  15. From what I heard, it’s a 2 piece comp with the bottom portion being welded on
  16. I don’t know if installing a ribbed barrel in a brazos slide is practical, the cut for the rib removes a bunch of metal from a already lightened slide
  17. This is the match director in me how long does it take to reset 70 popper shots and tape targets at +50 yards
  18. A muzzle support does not equal more security the one time my gun got knocked out of a holster, I was using a cr speed and it was locked
  19. I’m in the no support camp I’ve run cr speed, safariland and bianchi hemisphere all full size holsters and one of the problems I had with all of them was bending down shooting thru low ports, they would all jab me in the leg and my side, limiting my movement i have no such problem with my much smaller ghost
  20. I’ve been shooting blue bullets for a while and didn’t notice any difference accuracy between the old stuff and the new sized .355
  21. The problem with a trigger job in a bag is although it may be perfect for the frame or fixture they have in the shop, it might not be for your frame depending on the manufacture tolerances, the hammer and sear hole may not be perfect, I worked on a frame once that the hammer and sear holes were not square and were off set from the left side of the frame to the right
  22. I’ve had the same thing happen to my dummy ammo I have a couple of dedicated dry fire mags and the heads work themselves loose after awhile
  23. I use these https://www.amazon.com/Condor-Outdoors-FBA_MA37-002-Triple-Magazine/dp/B01MU6QP1U/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1549852743&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=uzi%2Bmag%2Bpouch&dpPl=1&dpID=310W-6cx1TL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1 they come in different colors to allow you to color code the different mags
  24. Good luck with enforcing that, it’s hard enough keeping track of the number of rounds fired in the 10 round divisions. to drastically change the rules to accommodate a small group shooter is insane. when I started the 45 was king, and everyone shot heads up, no divisions, you run what you brung the first compguns showed up, and the old slab side was obsolete, to win you need to buy one of those gamer guns the devel follower showed up, 8 rounds in a mag designed for 7, you mags ale obsolete, you need to buy new follower or mags the 38 super compguns show up and the hold 2 more rounds than your brand new 8 round 45 compgun and it shoots flatter your new 38 super compgun shows up, and some damn Jedi Knight wannabe puts a red dot on his and wins the nationals so you send the gun back to the gunsmith to mount a red dot then the highcap wide body guns appear, and you brand new 10 round red dotted super is obsolete so what do you do, if you’re bill wilson you form IDPA whats the point to all this, if it an’t broke, don’t try to fix it can you buy a edge in 9mm, yes can you use it in USPSA, yes will you be competitive in limited, maybe, but more than likely not Should USPSA change the rules to make you gun more competitive, and indoing so piss off 99.9% of limited shooter, not only no, but hell no Stock gun class, the forerunner to limited was created to give the martial artist a place to play without affecting the compgun shooters when the first supers showed up, some of the 45 guys stayed, some built supers, some said the hell with this and left the first highcaps, some of the 45 and super guys built new guns, some said the hell with this and leave if you add major 9 to limited, how many guys with brand new 3-4K obsolete limited will say the hell with this and leave
