  1. I question the premise of a shorter stroke on the 19vs 17 vs 34 - I think the stroke is the same - no?
  2. A few years ago I found a new old stock Kadet (22 CZ75b) that a local gun store wanted to get rid off. I called CZ to ask about buying a 9mm upper for it - they were horrified - we never sell centerfire upgrades. I finally found a used one but this would have been just the ticket Ask $350.00 for it and take 300.
  3. What is the best bang for the buck? Sierra, Hornady and Berger give great results but are so expensive - need some for practice that will group.
  4. I think Ben is out of shooting at the moment - do not know if he will return but he was very good. I think Icore is the way to go and not USPSA or other action shooting games.
  5. I love the zev but have had to warranty it twice at high round count the trigger safety stops engaging as the plastic spring action goes too light but they were easy to work with
  6. Is there a source of energy content for each powder - it might make load data easier to deduce but I expect energy release is also related to the pressure curve - more pressure more efficient energy release. I still intuit that fast powder is better in a blowback action.
  7. I predict a very uncomfortable cavity search is in your future.
  8. I have seen groups of people all shoot poorly and military experience is no proof against poor shooting. Really experienced Glock shooters may be able to better diagnose your problem - please post a picture from above of your rear sight position. I shoot Glocks a lot and some do require sight adjustment from the center position. The factory adjustable sight is a very poor quality sight - get a fixed sight.
  9. Anyone seen or shot one - are they on the street?
  10. I suspect the super swager has the wrong primer pocket swager on it - those pictures do not look swaged.
  11. I had to deal with this also. I cut out all indoor shooting - our local range claimed their air was pure but there was lots of dust falling from light fixtures and from overhead during firing. I cut out all casting - had not done a lot but enough apparently. Now I only load plated or poly coated - wet tumble outdoors and do not shoot indoors. My lead levels have dropped steadily but not below the desired level of 5, but I suspect long duration uptake requires long duration diligence. I am firmly convinced that some folks uptake lead easier than others so your own metabolism affects this too. If you are pressing a claim you need a lawyer and not try to negotiate on your own - I suspect they will cave.
  12. https://i.imgur.com/L62NpA3.png[/img] It really is tiny - I thought it added a thought process but did not think it improved the stage - whatever. I shot to miss.
  13. Godspeed to full recovery sir! Thank you for your story!
  14. I bring double to cover contingencies including having a bad batch of handloads and need to switch to another production run. It has happened!
  15. Use Dawn - it works and does not hurt the parts. You can have the parts nitrided pretty cheaply.
  16. Local Cabelas has them for 20.00 at the store - 10% local tax but they work well and nothing is as cheap.
  17. Actually, the lube prohibition originates from a fear of contaminating primers - which is rather rare. Lubing cases makes them last longer with fewer cracks and less stretching. I would not lube them in a dirty or gritty condition but normal range conditions - lube away. But, everyone has an opinion.
  18. If plated or jacketed only then Titegroup If lead or Polycoated or plated or jacketed then W231
  19. Try Ram Shot Competition Clays - running a light load of 2.9g with 135g poly coated bullet. Cleans easily - light black film coating.
