  1. try a good polymer tipped bullet for a while that should eliminate the 0al variances. Varget it s great powder but not from a progressive loader - try TAC. If I am trying for ultimate precision I have to weigh each load (Chargemaster) the volumetric loaders simply are not precise enough and the 223 is a small volume case which needs accurate powder drops.
  2. Best price on Poly coated 9mm bullets - I heard a new name the other day and promptly forgot it. I know BBI/SNS/ACME/BAYOU/BLUE - any others that are cheaper?
  3. 2.8g TG with 135g BBI polymer - cycles well and knocks down steel - too light to cycle a Glock 34 - perfect for PCC
  4. I really did not think it mattered - same folks on top as before as far as I can see, but I like a requirement that pushes accuracy.
  5. I did it and it maybe helped and it certainly did not hurt. Stick powders still don't throw accurately and ball powders do.
  6. To avoid this issue which is exacerbated by my deafness - I ask the RO if he/she says MR - it is just too easy with all the commotion on deck to be sure I have heard the command accurately.
  7. Remove just a bit of metal off the primer seating cup until you get the crush fit you want - does not take much.
  8. Has anyone seen an Ar9 with a catastrophic disassembly? I have seen a number in which the cases failed but it caused no real damage.
  9. I think they changed their name but I do not know if they changed their game.
  10. I got mine the day they came out so maybe they will help me with some new springs.
  11. I did not realize they would take standard springs - good to know.
  12. My springs are wearing out fast - anyone else having trouble?
  13. Thank you for posting this! Good heads up!
  14. Get the gun Nitro-carburized - that works.
  15. Biggest suggestion is good air flow away from you - nitrile gloves your skin and avoid the vapors. I still cast for 44 mag and 45-70 because of the relatively few I shoot and the cost of those heavy slugs - my Blood lead has steadily fallen but we check it every year - some of us have more affinity for lead uptake than others.
  16. I do not lament the passing for the Mk 1 -3 but I would buy one cheap because they were pretty good and I like a deal.
  17. I tried it and my Blood lead went from 11 to 21 - no more casting for me.
  18. We had to DQ a very good shooter at a USPSA match for following rules that were clear under his usual game 3Gun - only the match rules you are shooting apply. I agree we need to harmonize the rules - safety is not game specific.
  19. My Storm Lake conversion works fine, but as a practical matter I shoot the 34 when I want the 9mm.
  20. The word on the net is he had a hit to the pelvis - had surgery and is recovering - certainly not a trivial injury but the outcome as reported is for a good recovery.
  21. good start - I had to go through mine and polish most every action part as well as the spring change. It may never be as reliable as a Benelli but it will equal or surpass an 1100
  22. Ok what is the deal with slide interchange? Can you put a gen 3 slide on a Gen 4 receiver?
