  2. I like my 550B but then I don't shoot as much as w1504
  3. Clean your mags? Mag spring? Change to a Gen 4 ejector? These are things I would try at this point. I use a bit more powder more like 3.2g TG
  4. Very wear resistant - makes the surface slick - do all the machine work before you send it off - hard!
  5. Nitride! I have done several guns - solves rust and covers that damn ugly stainless!
  6. I have recently switched to Canola oil and ATF - smells pretty good and cleans carbon well. I would not eat it.
  7. Consider raising the front sight. You can have the slide worked on by anyone. The frame is the gun.
  8. They run a very high quality operation there at MG - I recommend them for your competition needs.
  9. 15 - 20K would be pretty normal for a Stainless cut rifle barrel - double that for Chrome Moly Poly barrels
  10. Follow up - I shot mine in a couple of club matches - the standard sights were exactly correct - no change required. The advantage may be only a percent or two but it was an easy to achieve percent or two and did not reduce the reliability of the gun or require any retraining - so for 150.00 I got a better gun out of a cheap old G22 that was in a drawer. I would recommend this to folks that are running a G35 and certainly anyone running G22.
  11. Everybody has seen the Sig Brace but there was a new development the other day of a stock that wraps around the pistol's grip when you close your hand around it - do you know where to get one or a website for further information.
  12. I spoke to the owner at MG a few years back and talked about his bullets he was irritated at a post he had seen criticizing his bullets as losing their jackets in media tests - his point was he sells accurate bullets and makes no claims about them being SD bullets. They are as accurate as any jacketed bullets I know of - particularly the 124g 9m JHP.
  13. I would suspect the barrel or the see if there is a strike on the comp - tumbling is not coming from too little crimp.
  14. I recently loaded 180g Jacketed 40s some with TG and some with CFE-Pistol - opposite ends of the speed spectrum - in my Glock 35 I could not feel any difference.
  15. I really like the Leupold 1-4x - very rugged.
  16. I have heard nothing that would make me believe we are on the verge of losing W231/HP-38, but I do think that availability will continue to be an issue. As far as alternative powders go Titegroup, Universal, CFE Pistol in the Hodgdon line and AutoComp in the Winchester line would be the powders I would consider. Others work but not quite as well in my applications. The results of this submission may be viewed at:
  17. Shooter is up and the RO calls Load and Make Ready - the shooter loads up and holsters his gun - back at the peanut gallery someone knocks his range bag to the ground and his backup gun hits the deck - it is his gun and it is during his run so does he get a DQ - what does the rule book say about this? I think the rule is explicit and there is no option.
  18. I am pleased with how well this works - test this weekend at CMP USPSA
  19. Thanks guys - looks like I need to try it out and see where it hits.
  20. What do you guys find as a good option for W231 especially for Lead/Poly coated - with jacketed I am fine with Titegroup but low smoke and great flexibility with w231 has been my main powder consumable for years.
  21. Slide stop broke off the ledge. Rear sight on Gold cup had pin fall out. Fibre Optic front fell out. Magazines fail.
  22. So I just finished by Glock 22 with Taylor Freelance Sightracker block and just curious - anyway to predict whether it will need a different front sight - some say the Glock barrel lies pretty straight so it will not matter much - anyone do this and have an experience to share? Thanks.
