JohnS23
Just wanted to get some opinions on gripping the handgun with sweaty palms. I’m not sure if i’m just holding the gun wrong or if sweat is the only problem.
DKnoch
Progrip is necessary. I prefer a grip with some checkering or grit to it as well. Also keep a towel in the range bag to wipe hands if they get sweaty
IVC
With so many different aftermarket grips available and with all sorts of products that prevent slipping, sweaty hands should be no problem. Find combination of grip/product that prevents slipping and you'll be able to diagnose your own problem.
Bunmaster
Vicious grip tape if super aggressive and Eric Grauffel's, Fast Grip is primo. JJ Racaza has Power Grip too. Use grip sauce in dryfire always.
JohnS23
Thanks for the suggestions. I just bought Eric’s fast grip online. Also bought some 3m safety walk grip tape for my glock. Hopefully this fixes my issue. I am still undecided whether or not I’ll be squeezing or doing the push/pull grip.
Bunmaster
Lok Grips has very aggressive panels called Bogies.
quliming
It doesn't matter what kind of grips you use, if you get sweaty enough, all slip. Use liquid grip. For less sweaty hands, try grip tape grips or silicon carbide.
beta1759
for what pistol? I use Dry Hands liquid in addition to my evo grips.

The man said Glock. Eventually, an epoxy & silicone carbide (sand blasting media) job really is the way to go on the grip. bimmer1980
Ive found some pretty nice chalk balls. I use them even without sweaty Hands. My CZ Shadow keeps almost clean, but the grip you get is amazing.

m-cz-shadow-2
I use lok grips on my shadow 2 and they help a lot, I couldn't use the stock grips without the gun starting to slip after a few minutes, also using liquid grip/progrip/chalk helps a ton
mvmojo
I shoot in Florida where sweaty hands are something we all deal with. I'm a fan of Dry Hands.

hello0o0o0o
Definitely try both a liquid chalk (progrip or liquid grip) and standard climbing chalk. I shoot in Florida as well, it's an absolute necessity. I find that liquid grip can be almost too "sticky" making it more complicated to do certain gun manipulations. Chalk, I find, has no stick and is just dry and frictiony. It's all personal preference at that point though. Downside with chalk is that it's extremely messy. Try both, you will see that it makes a huge difference at matches.
T-Free
Has anyone tied fastgrip? Read a few reviews of people saying it doesn't have a sticky/tacky feel. Thinking about ordering some
jskd82
I just tried ProGrip and it makes a big difference!
Seery
I use ProGrip and Dry Hands. Both work well.
Hi-Power Jack
Oh well, may as well respond to this. Just got a steel grip for my 2011, with the aggressive grip. I perspire so much I was thinking of wearing a golf glove, but this aggressive steel grip is fantastic - I can sweat all I want (or don't want), and my hand does not move at all with the new steel grip. Highly recommend it.
SGT_Schultz
Did anyone recommending new grip panels or 2011 grips notice the fact that the OP shoots a Glock?
rovpilot337
As others have already stated, I use a combination of aggressive grip tape and progrip. I have never had an issue with the gun moving around in my hands no matter how hot it was outside. The progrip is amazing by itself.
DFIVE3
I picked up two rolls of skateboard grip tape from the local skate shop, cut my own panels out and called it a day. Most shops have 2-3 textures and they are super cheap. I paid less than $5 per piece and I have a ton left over on each. I'll also run some ProGrip to keep the hands dry. Bakerjd
I just tried pro grip the other day and WOW. ordered 2 bottle of it. It's like the gun is stuck to your hands.
Moto_wrench
I use Liquid Grip. Seems to stay on my hands and not everything I touch like pro grip did when I tried it. Also experiment with how you apply it. Recently I’ve started using a very small amount on my strong hand palm, and more on the strong hand posterior knuckles and support hand. This lets me make adjustments to grip on the draw a little easier, but really works to lock in the skin on skin part of the grip that can suffer with sweaty hands. hope that makes sense... MHicks
I tried a pump spray and it helped. Do most like the liquid vs spray?
