  1. My grip revelations would be that I do not need to imitate what top shooters do. I tried the Vogel grip, I’ve tried the front to back pressure, then went back to how I started with gripping all sides of the gun. Most important thing is to properly grip and crush with support hand and only squeeze strong hand enough so that you can still work the trigger without it affecting the rest of your strong hand. Other one is just because you are gripping hard doesn’t mean the entirety of your upper body should be tensed up. I have a bad habit of tensing my shoulders and rest of my body and I have to keep that in mind or it can come back to haunt me again. Not as much grip, but related to gripping hard
  2. I only had regular stock 2’s previously, because Xtremes were expensive and still needed polishing and work. At a Stoeger class I dryfired his Xtreme and it was nice. Only thing he had done was swap the recoil spring if I recall correctly, and shot it a lot I’m sure. I got one recently and it is nice. I may drop the hammer spring weight to a 14 or 15.5 (I’m not sure what came stock in the gun though. I’ll look that up first), but it’s a nice gun for sure. Also put some Lok grips on it. I got it for just a bit more than is asked for used standard Stock 2’s nowadays. Got a Vice holster on order, but several weeks out. Had to order some 10 round mags, LF mags are hard to find, so I took what I could I get. I sold my stock 2’s a few years ago for Shadow 2’s. I could never transition and shoot controlled pairs with the Shadow 2 as well as I did with the Stock 2. Shadow 2 always felt front heavy to me. It shot well, but I preferred my Stock 2’s and regretted selling them. I didn’t intend to sell both previously, but had two people respond to ads within a few minutes (after no response for 2 weeks before that). So like a dummy I sold both.
  3. Yes, correct where have you found an available 750 in 40? I’ve been looking for a 750, 1050, or 1100 in 40 and was about to just get on the waiting list with dillon

    Mag Pouches

A DQ...? Definitely not a dq, but why would the OP or anyone want their mags to fall out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. They may have raised their prices, then they discounted everything! [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. CTD did the same thing after Sandy Hook, yet people started buying from them after the gouging stopped. If I remember correctly they were selling 30 round p-mags for like $100 each (could’ve been more) and $500 AR’s for $2000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yes that’s what they told me to do, still waiting on it to ship though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just called Springer precision and they were very helpful, but Sig is famous for changing constantly. To be safe they asked I get the gun in hand to answer a few things before proceeding. So I’ll go that route. Thanks all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. This says it does not work with guns cut from factory for R1 Pro though. I think the difference in the plate would be which optic it’s cut for, which is why I’m thinking I need the legion plate since they’re both cut for R1 Pro. I’ll likely email Springer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Did a search and did not come up with an answer to my question.. I just ordered a newer style X5 (non legion) that’s cute for the R1Pro. I’m wanting to install a R3 Max on it I already have. Question is do I need one of the Legion adapter plates since they’re both fit for the R1 Pro? Attached pictures will hopefully help with context Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Buddy of mine shot one and had a canyon creek magwell that got welded on. He always seemed to have issues getting gear that fit correctly without modding (even a holster). Hopefully you have better luck. Is a good gun though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I wouldn’t wear boots, they’re heavy and don’t have as aggressive tread as Salomons or similar shoe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That’s already a thing with the 59 oz/kg/lbs/tons weight limit (or whatever it is nowadays), thumb rests, and whatever other things are allowed (or will be soon enough) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I’ve never shot IDPA and don’t know the rules well, but they don’t allow 2 piece belts last I heard. That may have changed, but I doubt it. Also I don’t think IDPA allows a dropped offset hanger for your holster? For USPSA just follow the advice given. I’d add for mag pouches, I personally recommend CR Speed’s. I’ve used several different types including DAA race masters, but the CR Speeds just work well and aren’t overly expensive. The belt attachment on mine can be flipped so the mag pouch sits a bit higher or lower. Mine is a bit higher, but you could put yours lower if you have a shorter torso maybe? They just sat a bit too low that way for my liking, but it may work well for you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Oakley would be high up on glasses I think just because it’s been a popular brand for years, and Hunters HD Gold seems to be fairly popular. No clue about ears, I use Premear and like them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I bought a used SP-01 Phantom (the polymer one) for a good price. Previous owner already put fiber optic front and black rear sights on. I may keep it as is or I will likely have an optic milled and get one of CZ customs plates so I can go from irons to optics. I’ve never been a dot shooter, so I don’t know if I’ll like it or not. Anyway, will a shadow 2 holster work with SP-01 Phantom? If not I also have an old P-09 holster I found in a storage box the other day. If neither of these work, I’ll order one, but curious if anyone knew off hand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 1. 5 moa 2. I’d prefer stippling and using pro grip. Most of those tapes don’t stay secured or they wear out. Silicon carbide gets nasty with dirt, pro grip, etc and has to be replaced. I also had a hard time finding a grit that was grippy enough without shredding your hands when you shoot a lot 3. Past few red hill tactical holsters I’ve had (for Tanfo’s and CZ’s) I have not been impressed with the fit. I used to shoot Sig’s and always had good luck with RHT holsters then. I don’t know if it’s a change over time or any change in type of guns I’m shooting. GX Holsters are supposed to be awesome 4. I always liked the Springer extended mag released with 320’s (especially with X Series grip module) These are just my opinions and experiences Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That would be good if they made smalls. The X Grip modules are big and blocky. They should also make a tungsten grip module with removable grips, like steel guns Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Empty primer trays fit perfectly inside of a trash bag. That’s where I store mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I used to shoot a 226 enhanced elite before legions were a thing. I installed the Grayguns intermediate mag release , or you can find X5 mag release. I searched for an All Around for a while and never saw one. They used to be around for like 1500 before they stopped producing them, when I first got into Sig’s. I used a 19# hammer spring in my 226, fiber optic front sight, E2 grips (since the frame is wide and bulky), Mecgar mags (I think I used the 18 rounders). I got all of the same brand and capacity mags because I discovered that the henning basepads for CZ’s (I believe it was) worked with them. Unfortunately those basepads didn’t seem to work with other brand or capacity mags. It’s been several years since I’ve shot or owned that 226, but that’s most of what I remember about it. I used the factory hammer, trigger bar, etc. Gun was reliable and pretty good, but I moved on to 320’s when they first got released. Now I no longer shoot sigs, prefer CZ’s and Tanfos
  21. I’ve put the fail safe powder rod backwards on my 650 before. It cycled but was difficult. I discovered it within 20 or 30 rounds though so that may well not be the issue here. Pull it all apart and make sure it’s cleaned, lubed, then try it again with tightening shell plate properly. That would be my first suggestion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Works great on my 650 with 9mm 125 gr Coated round nose bullets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I had Stock 2’s first and switched to a shadow 2. I do like the balance of the Stock 2 and shorter slide, but I like grip, feel, mag release, trigger, and hammer spring access all better on the CZ. I sent you a PM also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I’m curious about this, as I’ve had this problem intermittently as well. I planned on replacing parts until it was fixed, but maybe someone can answer this and save some trouble finding the problem part. I figured the arm that rotates the disk, is the most likely culprit; but I don’t know for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I bought a used set of Mitutoya calipers for reloading previously. I read about how great they are on the internet, etc, etc. they are unnecessary for reloading as mentioned above. You can get any decent set of calipers and you’ll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
