csailer
Should I used a red or green front sight pipe for my glock 34?
zzw26n
Easy enough to switch out, try both. I ended up using red.
RangerTrace
I like red, but it really is personal preference. And they are very easy to change..
aandabooks
I'm on the green bandwagon. That may be due to wearing shooting glasses with an orange tinted lens. It makes the green look like it is glowing out at the end of my gun.
IronicTwitch
I've been using red and just tried green at my last match indoors. The green stands out better in low light much better for me. Yet to compare the outside but I think it may help me see faster...
ericridebike
I think it's one of those personal preference things like Chevy vs Ford. I prefer red.
IAShooter60
I prefer red, but as I get older, my eyes focus better on green. Don J
kevin c
Green for me. It just seems to stand out better to my eyes. But as mentioned severall times already, it's a matter of individual preference.
DreGarciaTAT2
It's personal preference, also, your eye protection plays a role... Some make a different colors stand out more. I have a pair of glasses that make green bright. I have A pair that make red bright. Test both out, you'll like one more. Meyer23
I had red, switched out to green and like it more. Easier and brighter in my opinion.
Ferg34
Green is easier for me to pick up as well. I actually like the way the red looks more but found it harder for me to pick up quickly. As others have said though try as many as you can, the rods are not that expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RePete
Personnal preference but my wife and I prefer GREEN! But I use red on the rear.
wtturn
I pick up green much faster.

dgreen
Try and find Yellow, it beats the other 2. Even when it's cloudy it will seem very bright. I got mine from Brownells.
Cowboy1629
Green works best for me.
zhunter
Colored fishing line works if you like green or yellow. Just figure out which lb. test is the right diameter. It's REALLY inexpensive
techj
I prefer green - easier to spot quickly with my eyes.
jbultman
Overall I find it really depends on your eyewear and the lighting condition. But, I like to switch them back and forth between green and red. I find that after a couple months of shooting one color the front sight will wash out and I will effectively not be able to track my front sight. But once I switch, I have no issues. That's my $0.
rishii
I pick green for the simple reason I'm a hard wired open shooter When I see a red dot on target, I'm pulling the trigger I usually forget there's a rear sight involved
basman
I change back and forth, I find that having a different color focus's my attention on the front sight. It takes about a month or so for me to get used to the new color again and stop paying proper attention to it.
FlightMurse
I have a really hard time picking up green. I am borderline color blind so that might play into it, but red is much easier to pick up.
Prov1x
I started out with red but switched to green this year. I shot a friends gun that had green on it and I picked it up a lot faster than the red so that's why I made the switch.
szhttm
Basman, that is the best advise for most!!! Unless you have a specific vision issue as FlightMurse stated. Your brain gets use to seeing the same thing over and over and slowly begins to ignore it trying to find something new. Switching colors every 6 months to a year is the best option for most. Try it at your next match and your will see how your front sights pops and how more obvious it is in your sight picture. Good Luck And Be Safe!!! PrimaryBruce
I've always preferred green over any other color myself. Most quality fiber optic sights will come with additional rods to try whichever color you like.
