alecmc
I think most people prefer heavy round nose bullets for revolvers, everybody I know is shooting 160 grain round nose bullets
PatJones
Shooting 158 grain round nose in my 627. For moon clip use a round nose is best.

357454
I've been shooting the Hensley & Gibbs #34 round nose 230 grain in my 625. What are you using in your 929 or 627? Nose shape and weight, please and thanks in advance. I have been shooting 147 grain Extreme round nose (almost a pointed profile) in both my 627 and 929, I have also loaded Berrys Round nose in the 627, either works well. varminter22
I too have been using the Xtreme 147 gr copper plated. 38 Super- 147 RN Quantity of 500 Diameter: 0.357 UPC: 819304313156 Price:$43.75 Quantity in Stock:406 Product Code: XC38-357-147RN-B0500 http://www.xtremebullets.com/38-Super-147-RN-357-p/xc38-357-147rn-b0500.htm Although I've so far used primarily the Montana Gold 142 gr JHP, the Xtreme 147 seems to work well for me and I'll probably use it more extensively. In the past, Xtreme called it a 9mm bullet sized .357". Now it seems they're calling it a 38 Super 147 gr.

alecmc
I am of the opinion that a heavier bullet going slower has less perceived recoil then a lighter bullet going faster. Edited October 23, 2014 by alecmc
MWP
I messed around with some pointy 125gr bullets. Went into the cylinder fine when the gun was clean, not as well as heavier bullets when it started to get dirty. Much more perceived recoil. And cylinder and muzzle blast.
