  1. I weighs less so it makes the index plate less snappy. A low mass ball and trimming a coil off the spring will really help.
  2. The case moves as slow and smooth as you run the handle. The detent ball can also cause the shell plate to "snap" into place. That is why some people put a low mass ball in or trim the spring a touch.
  3. Leave Revo alone is still my vote. But.... add in a revo tag to Open and/or LO. Wanna shoot a revo with a dot and ports? Open. Wanna shoot a revo with no ports and a dot? LO.
  4. I shot one a couple years ago. I didnt think it was anything that special and I was shopping for a PPC revo at the time and had money to burn. Nice yes, but not for close to 6 grand. The CDI factor was way high though.
  5. Toss it in a tumbler with corncob media as stated above. I overload my tumbler a little bit so the cases will bang against each other and knock the burrs off. The corncob just makes it look pretty.
  6. I trimmed the spring under the detent ball so there is less "snap." There is still pressure to keep the shellplate lined up, but not as much.
  7. The easiest fix for me was to increase the neck tension on the bullet by polishing down the expander die 2-3 thou. Bullet pull/creep reduced to nothing and my ES/SD went down a little bit as well.
  8. They are a solid rifle. I have seen more issues from the CF barrels than the normal ones. I think the RimX, 40X-Elrod and Vudoo are better rifles, but they are also a lot more expensive.
  9. The locating and ball can also make things shake/jiggle. I trim the spring back a little bit to make the shellplate have less "snap" when going into place. The case ejector could also need adjusting.
  10. Mine came with an A2 stock and a JP single stage trigger straight from STI More important than those details, it is serial # 69.
  11. The crazy high mounts are so using dots with night vision isnt so uncomfortable. For us, I prefer as low as I can get and still have a decent cheek weld.
  12. Keep the 1050 for sure. Get a separate toolhead for case prep. Easy.
  13. Bowen rear and whatever width you like up front.
  14. It has always been like this. Although the average age is match directors isnt getting any younger.
  15. Pretty much I was the only guy to step up and agree to run the matches. That was the mid 90s. My dumbass is still doing it.
  16. Again this year Thunderbeast Arms has thrown a bunch of free suppressor certificates on the prize table. I can 100% guarantee that if you dont shoot this match, you will not win one.
  17. Does it still work with 38 Special ammo loaded in moon clips?
  18. I am using TK .035 moons. All the brass I have sorted out for my 929s is WCC (Winchester) GI brass or WIN brass. Federal and Speer are good also. Remington is the worst. I put that junk in my lost brass pile.
  19. You might have a bent shoulder bolt in the back of the machine. It is the one that has the roller on it for the indexing pawl. It tales a 3/16 allen wrench.
