Sandbagger123
I usually buy the bullets through the mail. if there is a discount for buying more, i usually do. I have bought from MG and others, and MG is the only company that put all my bullets in one bag. Others were in 500-1k boxes. I think the bulk bag method is ok. it saves box cost and weight, so hopefully the company passes along the savings. So do you care if your bulk bullets came in boxes? Chaser_2332
with bulk bullets im ok with it no matter how they send them.
Poppa Bear
Mine always comes in a 69 lb box with a GIANT bag of bullets inside it.
Steve RA
I don't care as long as it doesn't come "unwound" during shipment. After you get them I think the 500 round boxes are a little more handy than one large container.
Classic_jon
<joke> I want each bullet individually packaged in a hermetically sealed pouch that has a tamper proof seal. That way I can tell if someone has tampered with them or not. On a serious note... as long as they get to me... they could be in one box/bag or 5, or 15.... Dirty Rod
Not really fond of the bags. MG uses a bag but then they put it in a box almost as flimsy as the PD boxes. When you need to stack 4-5k bullets bags and flimsy boxes don't work for me. The boxes that Berry's come in stack very nicely.
chirpy
I get my Zero bullets from Roze Dist. and they are shipped free in a USPS "Flat Rate" box to save $$$$$. Don't mind it at all. Richard
Shadyscott999
I prefer the bag-o-bullets. I use a plastic cup to scoop them out and put them in my bullet feeder.
Waterfowl-widowmaker
I prefer boxes. Just makes it easier to stack up under the reloading table.
thermobollocks
Double boxed for me. I've had a manufacturer send them double bagged and questionably double boxed, but they inevitably get beaten up. Pack everything as if it'll be dropped eight feet and sat on, because it will. Biloxi23
Precision sends 2500 .40's in a bag, which is then boxed, and that box is put in a flat rate box, as was mentioned before that weighs 69 pounds. My mailman dislikes bullet delivery day.

Lifeislarge
I prefer 500 round boxes. Easier to keep a more accurate count of my current inventory. I always know its time to find some when I crack open the 2nd last box. Unlike Sarge, I can't afford to keep a half million in stock.
Sarge
Unlike Sarge, I can't afford to keep a half million in stock. I wish! Bullets are hard to keep up with due to the cost. I only have about 10k on hand
jaredr
no preference as long as they are packed securely and get here without springing a leak...
johnhhuber
The only thing I really care about is that they label everything very well. Typically not a problem but I have purchased bullets from smaller venues that did not properly label Bullet Manufacturer, Weight, Bullet Type...etc. Instead I get a package that says 300 rds 9mm. I could be strange but I prefer more info about components as oppose to less.
LikesToShoot
I don't care how they're packed. My mail man HATES me. I think he asked for a different route or may be out on disability because I haven't seen him for a while.
retarmyaviator
Doesn't matter to me, once I receive a shipment they are dumped in large plastic bins under my reloading bench.
buckaroo45
I've received bullets both ways; double boxed w/ no loss of product and bag packed missing over a hundred. Give me the double boxed any day and it's worth a couple bucks for the additional boxing.

KenRH
Can stacking cases damage lead bullets? I stack about six high which translates to 300lbs sitting on the bottom case.
kevin c
Can stacking cases damage lead bullets? I stack about six high which translates to 300lbs sitting on the bottom case. Compared to what they go through being fired? Probably not an issue. The boxes may squash down, but they give, and the bullets just settle into a packed condition. It's not quite like one bullet supporting 300# while sandwiched between two steel plates. I worry more that the lopsided boxes will tilt too much if stacked to high. I leave the top box open to replenish the bullet supply when I reload. If it falls, I'll have 3K bullets rolling across my basement floor. I like the packaging from Precision - bagged in a heavy box, stapled shut, then strapped completely in filament tape, then restrapped with plastic strapping, then boxed in PM boxes. They don't sag nearly as much when stacked, compared to the MG boxes I get.
