  5. Before you do anything, make 100% sure your ammo is making major pf ! Advertised velocity is from a pressure barrel usually and may not make pf in your pistol. Also make sure you crono out of your pistol not a buddies of the same make and model because they are different. FWIW Richard
  6. I'm going to say you are going to get a procedural or failure to do right even though you didn't engage a target (fire a shot) you activated a target which technically gives you an unfair advantage on the stage. JMHOFWIW Richard

  8. The one I had was a little OAL sensitive. Once I found out what that was it was 100%. Richard

  18. Probably be cheaper to start over from scratch. That being said, a complete top end in 9 plus mags plus ejector. Maybe you could sell the . 45 parts to defray part of the cost. Richard
  19. Welcome from Ravenna in NE Ohio. Jump on the USPSA site and check out the club locator. That should get you the clubs and contact numbers you need to start with. Contact them and get on their email list so that they can contact you about matches. Also check to see if they have new shooter classes. Also wait to join USPSA at an early match. Many clubs give discounted or free entry when you join USPSA. Some clubs may even hold indoor matches during the off season so you don't have to wait until the weather breaks. Continue to read this forum for lots of good info. Don't go out and buy a lot of stuff right away. Attend matches if you can with what you have. Make sure you let the MD know you are new. If you don't have everything you need someone might be able to help out. Eye and hearing protection are a must. Beware, if you CCW most ranges are cold ranges....no loaded firearms and have a safe area to handle weapons but NOT AMMO. Finally, BE SAFE! and have fun. Richard
  20. I have and have had Para's in .45 and .40. Only problem was taken care of by adjusting the mag feed lips. Fed many 200 gr. lead swc thru the .45 without a hitch as long as the OAL and crimp was correct. My .40 liked long loads and fed them 100% after I asked the previous owner what it preferred. Don't shy away from the Para with Para mags. Just make sure the lips are adjusted properly. That info can be found elsewhere in this forum or someone can chime in. FWIW Richard
  21. I have heard experts say that two of the same gun to come off the line one after the other will have variations like you mention. Has to do with tool wear and such. FWIW Richard
  22. Check out Brownell's. They should have what you need and can supply tech support. Richard
