I have a two month old 8” barelled MPX and so far no problems running my bunny fart loads for my Shadow 2. The loads chrono’s around 126 PF on the Shadow 2 and around 135-138 PF on the 8” MPX. All I did after I picked it up from the LGS was clean and lube it well then shot about 200 rounds of factory federal ammo. After that, I had been using my Shadow 2 reloads which is 124 Gr PD JHP with 4.1 Gr Winchester 231@1.125- 1.128” OAL. Shot my first PCC Match two weeks ago and ran great. No malfunctions of any kind. All the springs are factory with the exception of the recoil pad. I bought and installed a Taccom wave spring recoil pad and its running great. Now, I only need a Taccom mag splice and I’ll be set. I wish it comes back in stock again.

I’ve shot my TSO in open major without a comp using 124 Gr FMJ RN with 6.51 Gr of CFE Pistol @ 1.150-1.155 OAL. I just have to install the stock 16# spring to prevent the slide from getting beat up. Recoil is too much though so I got a czechmate afterwards. So far, no broken parts yet. I also cut, drilled and tapped the mag release to install the shadow 2 mag release pad. CZC multioptic mount with trijicon and Advance Ratio thumbrest.

Damn, that’s not good news. I wish Brownells published your review for everyone to read because if I would have known that, I might have second thoughts about buying the Timney trigger for my MPX. Get the pistol and SBR it using E-file in ATF’s website. It took 17 days for my stamp to get approved. I filed on November 12 and got approved on November 29. That’s with the thanksgiving holidays in between. It’s very quick and simple compared to submitting your paperwork the traditional way which takes about 6-9 months if you get lucky. So far, I have about 1300 rounds down range without any problems (knock on wood). It’s been eating my reloads using PD JHP using 4.2 Gr of Win 231@1.128-1.130 OAL. It also didn’t have any problems with the FMJ FP and RN from RMR that I shoot with my CZs.

GFL is made by Fiocchi. Don’t know the volume though.

This is a very nice analogy and comparison against a pistol draw. I’m just a beginner in PCC and I’m thankful for all your tips and videos. They’re a great source of info and when you break it down like this, it makes it simple and easier to understand. I’ll be incorporating all of these in my dry fire to improve my PCC skills. Just an aside, I shot my first PCC match last Saturday with my 8” Gen 2 MPX and placed 13th out of 48 shooters. Not bad in my book but I need a lot of improvement. Thank you very much for taking your time making and posting your videos for us to learn from.

I did my experimentation with different stocks also. I bought the TTI adapter during their Black Friday sale and tried a magpul STR, CTR and DD stock but ended up using MFT’s minimalist stock. It’s light and it gives me a more consistent cheek weld compared to the others I tried.

Tell me about it. I used to build and race both nitro and LiPo powered rc trucks and buggies when I was stationed in Japan. It can get expensive really quick once you start upgrading driveline and suspension parts using titanium. I still have all of my Mugen Seiki, Kyosho, Tamiya, traxxas trucks and buggies but haven’t raced them for a long time.

My vote goes the Acura MDX. My wife drives one and she loves it. It’s an older one that has the 3.7 liter engine and wider body and has been solid all these years. It’s also a gas guzzler but has a lot of power. The newer model have the smaller engine now and has better fuel economy and narrower body. I drive a 4WD 1999 4Runner with a manual transmission and locking rear differential. My wife drives my truck too but she likes the MDX a lot more than the 4Runner. I also like driving the MDX except for the steering feel. It’s like driving a boat especially if I go from driving my 5 series BMW to the MDX.

RMR’s JHP has an ogive that’s wider than most JHP like PD or MG. I have some and I had to load it shorter compared to the PD for my TSO and CM that’s not reamed. It hits the rifling sooner compared to the PD and MG I’m using. Make some dummy rounds and do the plunk test on your barrel and find out what’s the OAL it’ll allow you to load it.

Just get the new TSO instead of a TS. The new TSO incorporates the enhancements/upgrades a lot of people did to their TSO including me. The new TSO comes with a better mag release pad ( like a shadow 2), wider and better extended safety(from Shadow 2 again), aluminum trigger shoe instead of polymer. These are things that majority of TSO owners have instead to their old TSO. In fact, I had to grind, drill and tap the mag release to install the shadow pad on my TSO since CZ dozens sell the new mag release yet.

Waiting for results. Hopefully it’ll work so I can buy some from the tractor supply store.

Matt sold me a bunch of 9mm bullets and shipped it very promptly through usps. However, USPS didn’t take good care of the package and the sides got torn up badly. Some of the bullets didn’t make it to Florida because of the big holes on the side of the box. The post office patched it up haphazardly and dropped it off at my front door sometime this afternoon while I wasn’t home. Matt felt bad about the incident and offered to refund more than half of what I paid him. For him to do that in spite not having any control to what happened speaks well about him. He is definitely a great guy to deal with and a tremendous asset to the forum. I sent him pictures prior to and immediately after opening the box so he is aware of what going on. I also told him to use the pictures in filing a claim with USPS. Here are are some pics:

Race master/alpha x. Like everyone said, be aware of which insert you’re going to order for your TSO. DAA actually have a picture of the two different trigger guards for the TSO to aid the customer in choosing the correct insert.

You’re not too old. We have a gentleman in our club that’s about to turn 80 this coming February. He shots PCC and he’s still quick for his age. He’s having a blast every month we shoot at our club and he’s fun to be with.

Adjust your over travel screw and make sure you put loctite on it if you have the aluminum trigger. Your overtravel screw is not statitionary like it’s supposed to that’s why the hammer falls inconsistently. It gets jarred or moved when you rack the slide enabling the hammer to fall.

I’m using thin boogies on both my shadow 2 and TSO. I liked how they feel in my hands and the grippines. I tried the thin full checkered and it wasn’t as grippy compared to the thin boogies.

The gun ships with the springs at the back of the sear cage. It’s really not that hard to reassemble the sear once you had done it at least once. Instead of a punch, I use a q-tip to hold the spring in place. I slit the tip of the q-tip (remove the cotton or cut it off) and since it’s plastic, it’ll pinch and hold the sear spring.

I had been using mine with my X5 for a year now without any problems at all.

For me, it wasn’t. I don’t have any problems with CCI, Winchester and federal primers plus factory ammo with my setup of factory firing pin and spring with the CGW 11.5# hammer spring. I used this setup when my reduced power firing pin spring broke during a match.

The old style mag release on the older TSO will do that. I alleviated that by grinding down, drilling and tapping the mag release and installed a shadow 2 pad. It also helped me after I removed the slide stop and installed just the side stop pin and taped the hole where that slide release once was.
