    A few CZ questions

Yup. Main spring is the same as hammer spring.
  2. Just installed an 8 MOA C more slideride from my Czech mate to my new MPX.
  3. Never had any problems with winchester primers whether they are bright red or not.
  4. Great job young man! At 18, I was too busy drinking and partying in college ?.
  5. I’m using Henning base pads on my mecgar mags.
  6. TSO is a fantastic gun for sure. It takes ammo with shorter OAL especially with flat point bullets. You can shoot longer OAL with round nose bullets as I experienced with mine. I’m using truncated flat point bullets so u load them at 1.102”-1.104” OAL for use on my TSO and shadow 2. Since you’re in Europe, you wouldn’t have problems with ammo because round nose bullets are the only available bullet profile for use there.

    P226 Cycle Speed

What recoil spring weight are you using?
  8. Send me your mag release and I’ll retrofit it like I did on mine this way:
  9. You have the new trigger guard. You need the TSO insert for that. Heres a pic of my TSO with old trigger guard and my Czech mate with the new trigger guard like yours. I had to order the TS/CM insert for the TSO and TSO insert for the new Czech mate. notice the difference between the trigger guards. TSO was bought in May while Czechmate was bought in July.
  10. A couple of the guys I shoot with had to send their DPPs to leupold for warranty work. They broke them while shooting CO. I bet every slide mounted red dot takes a beating but so far, DPP seems to have the highest number of broken red dots at our matches.
  11. Are you going to shoot limited minor or major with your TSO? I just loaded some some major rounds to chrono tomorrow as well. I’m thinking of shooting limited major with the TSO and open major with the czechmate.
  12. It was an extra red dot I have in my parts bin. I just want to try the amber dot and see if I’m going to like it. I’ll be going to the range tomorrow and test it. Just by dry firing, I like the bigger window on the slide ride. The trijicon’s window is way smaller compared to the slide ride but a lot lighter though. I also have a vortex viper 6 MOA as a spare.
  13. Use professor Atlas’ polishing tutorial. I did the the installation and polishing myself using Kneelingatlas’ tutorial. Just go slow and have patience when you’re doing it. It was my first ever CZ pistol to tear down and polish and I’m glad I did it. I learned a lot.
  14. Yes it is. in fact, just got done installing the shadow2 mag release pad and blending the magwell on my TSO.
  15. Finally got around to doing installing the shadow 2 mag release pad on my TSO and blending the magwell after procrastinating for a long time. I cut off about 3mm from stock TSO mag release, drilled and tapped for an M3 x .5mm screw. I installed a 2mm roll pin so I can change the position of the pad just like the shadow 2. I also crimped the mag release release spring a little bit so the pad is softer to press in ejecting a mag. Works just like my shadow 2 now. my cat checking it out too. Also installed a Trijicon dual illuminated RMR and removed the slide ride to trim some weight. Blended the magwell using a tungsten carbide cutter on my dremel followed by 180, 240, 320 and 600 grit sanding drum. Then polished it with mother’s mag polish.
  16. Or you can install Cajun’s adjustable sear when you install a competition hammer and be done with it. Doing this makes it a lot simpler and you don’t have to fit the safety to the new hammer.
  17. I just use my grinder and then chase the threads using my M4 x .7 mm die to clean it up. I have plenty of those M4 screws from my RC trucks spare parts.
  18. Use dryer sheet to wipe the hopper instead of rags.
  19. I have no problem making major PF with my CM using Everglades 115 Gr hollow base bullets and 7.6 Gr of CFE pistol at 1.150 - 1.152 OAL. You just have to choose a bullet profile that allows you to load it longer compared to other bullet profiles. Granted I just got it a couple of months ago, it’s been problem-free so far. Pretty mush stock except for recoil spring, shadow 2 extended safety and slide racker.
  20. You certainly did the right thing! Nothing beats the time spent with your family. I’m still trying to catch up on that after retiring from military service. Deployments takes a lot of toll on family. For me, shooting with the family is priceless. My wife takes a day off from her work just to go with me to the shooting range. She even tells me which gun she wants to shoot. Last Monday when we went to the range, she told me she wants to shoot the czechmate because it has the cmore dot on it. She had fun knocking down the steel plates. She even told me to videotape her so she can show it to her friends ?. It was a nice “date “ for us. After we were done, we stop by at our favorite restaurant and had lunch. The range I go to allows free shooting for wives and under 18 kids of members. I also take my 11 year old daughter to shoot plate racks using my sbr .22 conversion. She likes hearing the sound of the bullets hitting the plate racks. She always have fun being in the range.
  21. I load RMR TC flat points at 1.102-1.104 for my shadow 2, TSO and CM without any problems. When I was load testing, I even tried 1.086-1.095 without any problems either. Like Idescribe said, just load them up and shoot them.
  22. Too much “belling” or “flare” at station 2.
  23. I use whatever grease I have on my grease gun after lubricating the u-joints on my truck.
