  1. Just go back to JHPs if you don’t want lead in your comp. lead won’t be deposited in the comp since the base of the JHP s are covered/jacketed.
  2. I heated, straightened, drilled and tapped for a pretravel screw so I can have adjustability. It also move the face of the trigger shoe to the rear. Stock on left, modified trigger on right side Stock trigger modified trigger You can see have the trigger face have move back significantly in the above picture. It’s basically like having the RRK of CGW or CZ custom.
  3. I still have my complete Gundam that I bought and built when I was stationed in Japan. Wing Zero in Master Grade is my favorite. I need to open up the rest of the boxes and assemble the rest of the Master grade series that I have in the attic.
  4. I don’t have any problem with my powder throws. They had been consistent since I bought my Dillon seven years ago. I had been using Win 231 for 9mm and Varget for 308 and no problems with either powder.
  5. Grumpy, I just checked my Dillon manual and the orientation of the failsafe rod is different from the picture you posted. Here is the picture from the manual.
  6. That sucks! I’m truly sorry for your loss.
  7. Thanks. I only have one gen 1 mag so I’ll just probably sell it for cheap since my gen 2 MPX is working well with the gen 2 mags.
  8. Here’s a video detailing the difference between slides that has been upgraded and not. Sig VUP video
  9. I installed a competition hammer on my shadow 2 and the adjustable sear made it easier. All I have to do was adjust the sear to work with the safety and then loctite the setscrew. You’ll also need the spacer since the adjustable sear is smaller compared to the stock sear of the shadow 2. I was on the fence about the spacer so I called CGW if I needed it and they told me I do so I bought and installed it.
  10. I’m using a Dillon super swager. It makes it easy to decrimp all those military brass.
  11. It worked 100% with federal primers on my Shadow 2 with the 8.5# hammer spring from CGW . However, I had instances of light strikes (about 10-20 in 100) with the WSP so I switched to the 11.5# hammer spring. With the 11.5# hammer spring, I didn’t experienced any light strikes with WSP, CCI, Remington and fiocchi primers.

No problems with my X5. That’s definitely something you need to inform Sig. Email them the pictures and see what they’ll say. When the gun is cocked and loaded, is the slide hanging a little bit in the rear? If so, the chamber might not be fully closed and firing out of battery.
  13. Looks good to me. However, mine is seated just a hair deeper than that with Winchester and CCI primers.
  14. Yup. That’s what I do to ensure the primers are seated deeper than just pulling the handle. No problems whatsoever for me.
  15. You can use a pair of pliers to pull out the roll pin. It’s not hard to remove once you squeeze and then pull it up and out.
  16. You’re not too old. We have a guy in our club that just turned 80 a couple of days ago. He shoots an MPX for PCC. He’s very accurate but due to old age, he’s not as quick as others considering his age and physical condition. I’ll be 52 next month. I started about six months ago in production shooting my shadow 2. In my first match, it had been raining the previous day and the bays were muddy and slippery. I slipped and fell to the ground hard. I was able to brace myself with my gun and due to the impact, the basepad came out flying along with the bullets. Only the magazine tube was left in the gun. I got up, change mags and continued the cof. I was so nervous but lucky not to have my trigger finger on the trigger or else it could had been worse. One of the guys who does video for the club had it all videotaped and posted on the clubs fb. I had been shooting since then and do more dryfiring to improve. I also met a lot of good guys who had given me tips along the way. It’s been fun. My wife is very supportive and let’s me use the formal dining room wall to put up my Dry Fire targets as long as I take them off if there’s a party in the house. Just go out there and have some fun. Be safe and enjoy the camaraderie.
  17. I also use my polarized Oakley daily prism sunglasses when shooting with a red dot. Compared to the amber or gray lens of my SI Ballistic M frame, the red dot pops out more on the daily prism lenses. Having it polarized makes a whole lot of difference too.
  18. Just received my 8# jug of sp from brownell through fedex yesterday. $145 after the $10 discount and free shipping. They’re out of stock again. However, Graf still have the 1 and 4# bottle/jug available.
  19. Try comp-tac. They have a level 1 retention holster.
  20. I’m using an RHT holster for my TSO. It accommodates the stock thumb rest and a CZ Custom multi optic with a red dot on it. It also has a couple of thumb screws so I can tighten them down for 3gun competition. Here are a couple of pictures.
