  1. It must be the bullets you’re using because I never had any problems using PPU brass with RMR’s TCFP 124 Gr FMJ bullets. I load these at 1.102-1.104 OAL with 4.1 Gr Winchester 231 for my CM, shadow 2 and TSO. It passes the plunk test every time.
  2. Get the thumb rest from the IPSC Alex store or Advance Ratio TSO thumbrest Advance ratio TSO thumbrest
  3. Very nice ?. I decided with an OAL of 1.102-1.104 for my loads so I can shoot them all in my guns and not worry about adjusting the seating and crimp dies.
  4. It doesn’t matter which company. Both are superb! I did buy my disco and trigger pin from Cajun and installed them myself. It doesn’t totallly eliminate the take up but significantly reduces it.
  5. I’m using 124 Gr RMR FMJ Truncated flat points for my X5. OAL is 1.102-1.104 (I used the same load for my shadow 2 and TSO) with 4.1 Gr of Winchester 231. Recoil spring is a Wilson combat 10# with springer tungsten guide rod.
  6. What flat point bullets are you currently using? What type of bullets were you using prior to switching to the flat points? You might have to shorten your OAL because of the flat point’s profile. I know the RMR truncated flat point that I use on mine have to be shortened considerably to feed reliably.
  7. I’m using the same hammer spring setup from CGW on my shadow 2 and haven’t had any light strikes with factory ammo. Heck, I even used CCI primers for my reloads for testing the hammer springs (8.5, 11.5 & 13#) I have on hand and the only time I had light strikes was when I used the 8.5# spring. However, I mainly use Winchester primers for my competition loads along with the 11.5# spring and reduced power firing pin spring and extended firing pin.
  8. The two hole thumb rest I have. Here’s the Advance ratio thumb reston my TSO.
  9. Get an Advance Ratio or IPSC Alex thumb rest. The pad is a lot bigger and ergo is better compared to the stock. I got an older two hole Advance Ratio on mine.
  10. I tried the strike eagle and primary arms and ended up with the primary arms ACSS reticle 1x6x24mm scope for 3 gun needs. The glass is clear and it was $260 during primary ams’ Labor Day sale.
  11. I agree with you. I got the 2018 TSO with finer checkering but rounded and thicker trigger guard. When I bought my CM last May, I was hoping to get the new CM with older trigger guard so I don’t have to buy another race master insert but when it arrived, it’s the new CM and it has the thinner trigger guard so I had to buy another holster insert from DAA. Back to our scheduled program ?
  12. That’s the new TSO with the old trigger guard. I don’t understand CZ’s mindset. Some older TSOs have the newer trigger guard from the new czechmates which have thinner profile which requires a different insert for the race master or alpha x holster.
  13. Congrats. Did you get the 2019 version or the old one? Post some pics.
  14. Having shot and own both, I still have the X5 but the 320 is now gone. The X5 is more balance compared to the 320 hence it shoots better to me. I’ve also added a springer precision tungsten guide rod and installed a 10# Wilson combat recoil spring to suit my reloads. No problems so far after about 3k. I also put a talon grip tape for better purchase on the grips.
  15. I replace mine the same time I replace my recoil spring which is around 5k or when the buffer shows signs of tears/cracking. It’s always a good practice to check it every time I clean my gun which is after every match/Live Fire Practice.
  16. Heres the link for the tutorial by Kneeling atlas. CZ tuning 101 with Professor Atlas
  17. I zero’ed mine on the same distance at 36 yards.
  18. Did you check to make sure you are using the correct size for the primer you are using, ie small primer cup or tip for small primers?
  19. It helps on tight shots and heavy leans.
  20. Ditto. I got mine from amazon for around $23.
  21. I had been shooting RMR’s FMJ truncated cone flat point and Berry’s flat point on my CZs without any problems at all using Winchester 231. My load is 4.1 Gr Winchester 231 at 1.102 OAL @ 128-130 PF. I use this load for USPSA production with my shadow 2. I started at 3.6 Gr when I did my ladder test and chrono’ed every shot from my guns, ie 5” shadow 2/sig x5 and 5.4” TSO/czechmate.
  22. I’m currently using a 6 MOA Vortex Viper on mine. I tried using my trijicon dual illuminated amber dot but it’s hard to see the dot when shooting under the shade.
  23. I used to call my Dad’s slide rule, “ slide wrong” when I went to engineering school. Tried it but got my answers wrong most of the times, hence the name. I can’t get it right every time I used it.
