Wow...who has that kind of time?
I really thought I was missing something here. Or there was a typo and it was 22min and not 22sec. Also thinking there might be an inside joke I was missing.
If there's a line of people waiting to use the safe area and your there for xx min warming up your doing it wrong. Its nothing to do with the rules. It's just basic common courtesy.
Pros are willing to call for plate calibrations whenever needed. I just shoot local club matches and hate delaying the match to do so. Usually I just take the penalty. In my experience 135's loaded to the same power factor as 115's work better dropping steel.
NY is 10rds even at the range.
Out of state people can bring legal handguns into into the state to shoot a SANCTIONED match. Mags can only hold 10rds there is no grandfathering of older mags.
If I was from out of state I'd personally avoid flying out of NYC area airports with a handgun even though it's legal. Drive in/out only.
It does get easier with experience. In the beginning I just focused on a plan that would give me the best chance of not forgetting a target. As time went on it got easier to plan the most efficient way to shoot it and where I should reload.
I am almost positive the press will mount if you remove the top SDB plate. I don't know if the bullet tray will mount but holes could be drilled for that.
You do realize that gun ownership and sentiment are rapidly expanding. The number of woman embracing firearm ownership is at an all time high. What is being done is working very well for us. No reason to turn and run with our tails between our legs now.
It should not be required. Our sport is tiny, there is no reason to turn anyone away.
I'm not a big fan of IDPA, but there is a weeknight match near me that I would shoot if they didn't require IDPA membership.
Money is the only reason to choose the 550 over the 650. If money is not an issue get the 650. The extra time it takes to convert the 650 should not be considered.
L10 is still needed for guys in ban states. Even if they travel to bigger matches they often don't own stand capacity mags and must still shoot in L10 or be destroyed by guys with standard mags.
