  1. Didn't know you could do that... I wouldn't do that unless you are trying to get people pissed off at you. Even if it's legal to do, people will get frustrated especially at local matches. 100% Agree. But next match do be sure to avoid the squad with him on it. Most ROs are good but there are some bad ones out there.
  2. Dry tumble for an hour in corn media. It comes out clean but dull. No reason to do anything more.
  3. I like owning nice things but that is the only reason I won't buy a Yeti. Almost every time I bring a cooler with me it gets left unattended and I just don't like worrying about it. Sorry people suck.
  4. I dislike both IDPA and NY. Especially since I lived there for 43 years. There is however one really great monthly USPSA match on Long Island.
  5. I load 1000's of rounds a year and have ever been injured. I've also never had a primer detonate in the press despite crushing several.
  6. I find most people start getting antsy around 1-2pm for a match that starts early in the morning on a hot day. Many matches go well past that without adding in extra PPC shooters. My favorite match I shoot is unsanctioned, we get about 25-30 shooters and it's done by noon.
  7. Turnout is really the only issue I see. Some local matches already run far to long and adding another xx PPC shooters will make things worse. One local match I used to shoot previously set a cap to the number of shooters who can register. Allowing PPC shooters in now just bumps out the pistol guys who have been participating for years.
  8. I still don't have a Facebook account and hope to never have to set one up. Unfortunately many small businesses are using FB pages mire than websites and sometimes only a limited amount is publicly viewable without an account.
  9. Try sending some kroil down around the stuck case.
  10. It sounds like you need to spin the brass a bit longer in the seperator. Or maybe try walnut media, the few times I have used walnut I have found it to be much finer than corn cob.
  11. I too have gotten thousands of rounds of brass from a wet range and never had this issue. But that doesn't mean it's not water related. Maybe there is a soil PH factor along with the water that causes this.
  12. I'm not scared about my safety. Just don't particularly care about wandering around being a "loner".Otoh, I like the idea of following a squad through a full match... I think I'll take that advice this coming weekend - there's a match about 60 miles away. now to set my alarm for Zer0DarkThirty so I can get there "early enough". Bring your gear and shoot it. You'll regret it otherwise.
  13. I've never rd used these but the price seems right. https://rmrbullets.com/shop/bullets-for-reloading/bullets-for-reloading-9mm-355-12/9mm-115-gr-fmj-rn-new/
  14. The yearly refresh is rather easy and seems beneficial to me.
  15. There are some two gun matches in NY where you have to jump through hoops to be able to get a license to buy a pistol. Be glad that there are not more around the country for that reason.
  16. Home ranges were either sand or gravel, I used to laugh about threads like this. After moving to Texas I now understand.
  17. My favorite load is 3.6g TG under a 135g Berry @ 1.150. Gives me a PF of 132-133 out of a 5" Trojan.
  18. 2.9 seems light. It took me 3.2 to make PF with a reasonable headroom in a 5" M&P.
  19. That's certainly true. I'll take high 90's in north Texas over low 80's on Long Island, NY every day of the year.
  20. I used to have a Colt and an RRA that used UZI and Colt mags. I believe 32 is the most and no extensions. Pat Thanks. That could be a disadvantage for choosing that platform for 32 round stages with steel. I was thinking about getting a Colt mag AR since I've been having nothing but problems with my Glock mag AR, but don't like the idea of being limited to a max of 32 round mags. https://www.xproducts.com/9mm-ar-15-drum
  21. My Trojan 9 is hands down my favorite gun. Runs flawless and has virtually no recoil.
