  2. I saw someone do this at a match once. Everyone thought DQ but after it was talked through he wasn't DQ'd. He did scare the entire squad and there was no advantage to the maneuver. Dumb move IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. A 223 bolt carrier closes far more gently compared to a 9mm bolt. Between the bolt engaging the locking lugs and the longer bottle neck cartridge it gradually slows down at the end rather than slamming. The weight of the gas key is stressing the bolts from the rapid slam on closing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I own two Trojans but would never consider one at $1500 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Warnings are the norm. You need to earn a ticket. I've been pulled over 3-4 dozen times, only received 4-5 tickets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. When I order anything it's generally for 10k primers and enough powder to fill the 10k cases. Anything less is not cost effective. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Wideners has winchester spp for $109 for 5k. https://www.wideners.com/reloading-supplies/primers/small-pistol-primers?utm_source=Widener%27s+Specials&utm_campaign=87c7b809a7-NL_2_23_17_7%3A15pm_re&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4dbd7b7ce3-87c7b809a7-66590937#winchester-small-pistol-primers-1-1-2-5000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. How do you have the primer tubes attached to the case feeder? Very nice reloading room btw... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm not sure what a 220 trimmer is. The Dillon 1200/1500 trimmer sizes and trims at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Many people run a lock ring under the tool head for the reason mentioned. There is no issue with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It's a good day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I assumed the policy was for shooters who have never shot a match before, not experienced USPSA shooters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I hope it would be left alone. Things like this are why we end up with so many non sanctioned "USPSA Style" matches around the country. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. check that the metal clip that the brass hits before it drops into the tube is positioned properly. Compare it to a picture online or in the manual. Someone here just had the same issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Micro-stamping is the process of stamping the guns SN on the primer and/or shell case of every round fired out of the gun. It's been pushed really hard in states like NY, NJ, etc, for many years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The magnet should bother the phone. There are magnetic based mounting systems for your car using very strong magnets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Mine was just delivered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. With respect, this is just not good advice. While your chances of getting caught is low, the risk isn't worth it. Assuming an average income level, defending your self in court against a felony will be a life changing event for most people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'd recommend this: http://www.batteryjunction.com/jetbeam-ko-01.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. For the social part I've found that many people do meet up for lunch after the smaller club matches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I can't speak for his club, but I shoot at one USPSA "style" match. Due to close proximity of homes, they require guns not be pointed above the berm at anytime even during reloads. USPSA shooters don't seem to like local range rules so it stays non USPSA. There are several others in my area that are also USPSA style but I don't know their reason for not affiliating. I almost never shoot at official USPSA matches anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I also have the CMMG lower. It runs flawless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Getting tested is important if you have bad habits you will quickly find out. Eating at the range is the big issue I always cringe when I see. Many people don't think anything of eating a bag of chips with dirty hands. On one hand I feel bad giving people advice on another I feel bad if I don't. Most people don't seem to appreciate the advice no matter how politely I deliver message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
