  1. You're best bet is to ask SVI for that dimension per caliber.
  2. I can't remember the title of a thread but if you do some searching about sv mags and sti frames you'll find discussions about a small bevel needed on the bottom of the frames and some pics. Then The SV Mags should work in an Sti frame
  3. August 24-27, 2017 at Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania Match details so far, look here: http://www.uspsa8.org/?page_id=572 Like to work the match as part of the staff? Look here: http://www.uspsa8.org/?page_id=586
  4. That's too bad you are asking this question now. I'm sure all will end up fine in the end as there are many customers who have had good experiences. Otherwise ask for your deposit back and do a ton more research about them and anyone else you can think of. Good luck
  5. If you haven't already do some searches on 2011 magazine tuning. It will be a lot of reading but your questions will be answered . Good luck
  6. I did some testing with it, took about 9 grains to make major with a 124 gr mg bullet . Smells nice too....
  7. I believe the intent of the instructions from Dawson's for their follower is that they are meant to work with STI springs or IMSI and probably Wolff. They all have a similar spring design. Grams and TTI springs are designed to work with their proprietary followers. This all coincides with what Eric explained above as well. Good luck
  8. You have several options: 1. If you are mechanically inclined and like to tinker you can fix the tubes yourself to get max capacity (29 rounds of SC) the bottom of the control ribs can be "extended" if you have the equipment or you can smooth them out with a dremel, sanding, and polishing. Idea is to lessen the severity of the transition of the bottom of the tube where the sides are flat to where the control ribs start to come out. You would also want to check the internal width of the tube between the control ribs. The ideal width between the control ribs is 0.740” for typ. Reloaded ammo, no narrower than 0.730”, no wider than 0.765” and keep tube square. Too narrow left to right and there is less capacity. Too wide left to right and the rounds can start to stack incorrectly and bind on each other Grams and TTI base pads will get you the most capacity as the bottom of those pads are beveled slightly inside. Dawson BP's are not beveled at the bottom inside. Personally, I think Grams BP's are the best. Grams and TTI spring and followers will work the best for capacity (again, I prefer Grams) If reloading your SC rounds should not be any longer than 1.235" OAL (+/- .005"), standard 38 super at 1.225" OAL (+/- .005") 2. If you don't tinker than go buy the MBX magazines. If you don't get at least 29 rounds of SC in them contact Adrian and he will walk you through why you may not be getting that. 30 rounds of SC is possible I hear with SC in the MBX mags, seems more common with 9mm though. good luck
  9. The double stack to single stack transition is too wide. Need to squeeze it tighter. Do some searching and you'll find more detailed description already written. Or just contact Sti, they will send you a new tube as a warranty replacement.
  10. Buy a 2nd one to leave at home and then you don't need to invest in electrical tape......
  11. Search for a user here called kneelingatlas. He can most likely answer all your questions as he has been there /done that on almost everything cz related. Good luck
  12. where do you live? He'll be at Area 8 in PA labor day weekend.

    GR-X die

If you don't mind push through sizing (I presume you don't since you are using the grx die in what I guess is a single stage press) then get a Lee 9x18 makarov fcd die. Put that in your single stage press, take the top of the die off and push your 9mm through it completely. Yes, it works, done thousands of 9mm and 9x21 this way.
  14. Try starting at 9.0 grains and work up from there. You'll probably settle at about 10 grains or a little higher. Good luck
  15. Make sure they have not become too wide side to side or front to back, over time as we drop them with rounds still in them the mag dimensions will change. There is a YouTube video from Atlas gunworks about chking where a mag might be rubbing. Good luck
  16. Sounds like they are a touch too wide. Either squeeze them down some or contact sti.
  17. "either slide doesn't finish seating the next bullet and I rack it out " This might be too much extractor tension

  19. Try contacting red hill tactical, a vendor here on be.com
  20. Several USPSA clubs you could venture to in NY near you. Freeport is they still exist? LIPSA out in the Hamptons, apparently there is one on Staten Island. Dutchess County should be about 1.5 hour drive north of you? http://www.uspsa.org/locate-uspsa-clubs-results.php Good luck
  21. Please do a search, this general topic has been covered 100's of times Good luck
