  1. "ogiebb" has been a member on this site for a long time. He has sold many items through the classifieds. I'm sure if you contacted him he would be straight up with you about the Limcat. As far as attention to build quality a Limcat would typically be greater than a factory STI build. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  2. I prefer Grams everything. IMO his stuff is the best hands down. Good luck
  3. Extractor tension is too tight and/or there might not be enough bevel on the bottom edge so the rounds can pivot up under it. Plus, is the extractor hook holding the case in the deep part of the groove or along the forward bevel? Back of case needs to be sitting tight against the breach face and if the hook is on the bevel it will force the case not to sit tight to the breach face.
  4. 170pf should keep you safe plus work the comp better.
  5. If the factory ones always worked for you why not just get those?
  6. Resurrecting an old thread. Picked up a pound of BlueDot just to try. 1st, definetly has a pleasant aroma when fired.... 2nd, for a 124 MG CMJ it took 9.0 grains to just make major. At 9.5 grains the 38SC case was full and getting compressed loads. Did not notice any unburnt powder, even down at 8 grains where I started at. Full size 38SC STI open gun, EGW 7-port EDM comp, no barrel holes. seemed to track nice, glad to know it's an option if I needed it.
  7. when I did some searches here I found in the 8.2 to 8.4 grain range for 124's. Of course work up lower than that.
  8. You will have a long drive to work if you are looking at living in Middle River and working at Ft. Meade. Try looking in Anne Arundel county for housing if you can.
  9. Other simple answer is yes, you have to "ramp" as you call it the bottom of the control ribs on both sides of the mag so the transition is smoother/less abrupt. No matter what guts you use if you don't do this you'll have the problem you first described. Good luck
  10. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=middle%20river%2C%20md If you have to move to MD it's a shame, in regards to 2nd amendment laws. Otherwise you are not far from PA where there are many good competition pistol and multi-gun matches you could attend. Plus on the eastern shore there is ESPS and out in western MD and WV you'll find good matches of all varieties as well. Good luck
  11. Yes, that is what you asked for (38sc) No barrel holes
  12. Grab all you could want used targets after a local match? Typically they are thrown away.
  13. 1.235 oal., mg 124 cmj rn 7.0-7.2 grains
  14. 9mm dies will work for everything but the sizing die. That has to be a 38 super/380 auto
  15. At a min. You need a 38 super sizing die. All the other dies you can use, plus shell plate and pins. Technically dillon recommends a .223 shell plate for 38sc but the one for 9mm should work, does on mine anyway.
  16. Lastly, you can bring a pdf of the schematic to your local print shop (kinkos is an example of that) and they should be able to enlarge it to whatever yout like, 24x36, 36x48 sizes come to mind
  17. Back in the day my friend was sponsored by eaa and the only brass they would send him for his 9x21 open gun was 9x19. Still runs to this day on 9x19. Oal should be about 1.160 with those small frame magazines. Good luck
  18. Yes it does. I've done thousands of them.
  19. Couple reasons for me. 1. When I was shooting .40 and using range pickup brass when I had my Tanfoglio with old-style mags there was no way to get max. capacity AND reliable feeding without having the cases completely resized. 2. I've always used Lee sizing dies as well. Yes, they size furthest down the case but not all the way down. Push through sizing completely resizes the case. 3. The reloading process in general is therapeutic to me and I enjoy it. Each step is neiher a burden nor a chore. The extra step taken to completely resize the cases; I view as just more fun. To each his own
  20. I did the same thing as well for 9x21 and 9x19 with a 9x18 markov, always worked perfectly. Too bad for some reason it did not work for you.
