  1. I guess I am confused! They tell me about all the things required to make a concealed carry gun appropriate for all day carry. Then I am told division capacity for my 15-17 rd pistol is 10+1. So what exactly makes PCC appropriate for IDPA? I mean are you going to carry this under your vest, how exactly is it concealed? I like IDPA and like a lot of people I also shoot USPSA, I could see argument for PCC in USPSA but I do not see it for IDPA.
  2. What he said, well except for the part about the shooting, it really was a good match. I felt like it was worth the trip from VA.
  3. I think you should be able to mod the gun anyway you wish, as long as it fits the box and does not exceed the weight limit. I would most likely lighten the slide on my pistol.
  4. Why? At local matches does anyone actually look at anything other than overall. The local matches I shoot do not enforce the requirement to be a member to shoot unless its a classifier. As far as friendly people almost all of the people I shoot IDPA with also shoot USPSA.
  5. The main difference between SSP and ESP to me is the use of a single action pistol in ESP.The 10 round limit does not bother me either way. I would rather be able to do more to my pistol to enhance performance than add capacity.
  6. True, but that is why it is Open. you can do what you want to your gun. If you like your M&P 9 and want to mod the thing you can shoot open and do whatever makes you happy.
  7. Especially if you have ever had to fit one, if they only use PT frames not a big deal but a pain on some others.
  8. Looks nice, I shot Optics nationals and a guy on my squad had one and I never saw him have an issue the whole match.

Mine will hold 30, but it is a bear getting #30 in the mag.
  10. I use the molded plugs, I just had a second pair made a few months ago and I really like them. Shooting open I still don't feel like I need more than just plugs unless I am inside, or under a roof.
  11. Ok just some thoughts, DLC is usually a flat finish just like hard chrome unless the metal is polished before finishing. I would say the ejector was tuned but ejection will be different with different ammo, you problem is easily fixed. I am sure they will tune it for you. The tooless guiderod is a matter of preference, personally I dont really care for it. I do not own a CK but they seem to be decent guns, I think once you reach 3k price you need to just have a custom built and that way yoi get it the way you want it.
  12. It will depend on your bullets profile. In my edge I have loaded Bayou and Blue bullets out to 1.19 with no issue. When I used Precision bullets they would not chamber properly at that length. If you really need to run ammo at that length you may need to have the throat reemed.
  13. If CFE and WAC are the same my gues as to why it takes more CFE is lot to lot variation. I would chrono my ammo anytime I switch lots of powder just to be sure.
  14. Looking at your post it looks as if you are going with a 9mm, in that case you by rule will be scored minor. You would need to chrono just to make sure you would not be sub minor, PF=bullet weight X velocity
  15. Moto, Oskar Blues in Longmont is worth a visit. Lots of beer and good food.
  16. No, Brian his name is Keith. Kws613@aol.com
  17. I have a friend trying to set up an account, he is not receiving the email with the link to confirm. Any suggestions?
  18. I have one gun with a steel grip and I love the look and feel of the gun, but I do shoot my plastic grip gun faster. The weight difference is 54oz vs 43oz.
  19. I agree with this, and it illustates the point that score cannot be accurately determined.
  20. You are in a good place to shoot, lots of matches in NC.
  21. I had an RTS2, now I run the DPP and really like it. The dot is small but very bright.
  22. Sig make a traditional line that is a normal profile, the Sig profile like the Max,Tac ops and the one pictured above are pretty square at the top.
  23. I don't have the experience digi531 has but I agree, the subjective nature makes it different for each shooter. I have a shorter heavy gun and a longer lighter gun and the feel is completely different. I am still trying to decide for myself what works best for me.
  24. Works for me, I have both style grips and don't have any problem with the holster.
