  1. I have been running a Dawson 0.100 front sight, and it has worked well for me. I have considered going smaller so it doesn't cover as much of the target for longer shots.
  2. KG, I use 180gr. Blue Bullets but have also used Bayous doesnt seem to change much with either bullet.
  3. For those of you who run a polymer grip with tape how do you get it to stay put? I tried grip tape on a stock grip and it would bunch up in spots, do you remove the checkering so it will stick or just applying over the checkering?
  4. You should also check your mainspring. I bought a used gun and had some FTF issues and found the mainspring had been cut short. As was said above a bent FP could also be an issue.
  5. Very nice, you won't be disappointed the Edge is a solid gun.
  6. I just sent my Eagle off to be hard chromed. I had my Edge done 2 years and it looks just like it did the day I got it back. DLC and NP3 are pretty cool as well but usually chrome is a little cheaper.
  7. I carry 3 on the belt and one in the gun. Every now and then reloading twice is a better option than trying to push it and only doing one reload, and the extra mag is in case I fumble a reload. I dont vary this I always carry the same number of mags just to be consistent.
  8. Classic Turret, if for no other reason than 4 station vs 3. I hate seating and crimping in same station. I have a LCT that I use every now and then and I like the fact that it just works no fiddling needed, just load ammo.
  9. I think the MBX mags for para will probably work. STI mags may require some work.
  10. In the testing that I have done I could not really tell much difference between 124 and 147's. To me the most important things are to make PF, and be accurate, soft does not really factor in. I try to get between 133-135 PF for 9mm loads, this gives plenty of cushion for chrono and works well on large poppers. When loading both bullet weights to equal PF I find the feel to be similar, the 124 has a little more snap but to me it just isn't a lot of difference and 124's are more accurate for my guns.
  11. I don't have a problem with the new rules, if they would leave them alone. I can learn to play any game as long as I know the rules.

It could just be a battery issue, just surprised it worked after reinserting the tray before changing the battery.

    RTS 2

I spoke with someone from Cmore yesterday and they said the dot should stay on for a short period of time if you pull the tray out, a capacitor is supposed to have enough charge to keep it on for a short period of time on the V4. My dot goes off right away if I pull the battery tray but does come back on when I put it back. I would not rule out a battery issue, which is why I put a new one in. I am trying to decide if I should send it in or not, if some knows they have a V4 and can confirm what happens when the tray is pulled it would help.

It started working after messing with the tray. I did replace the battery after it started working just to be sure.

I had an issue this weekend at the Florida State match. I shot the first target and the dot turned off, pushed the buttons on the side and the dot would blink on then turn back off. After ULSC I went to safe area pulled battery tray and reinserted it and the dot came back on. Tried pulling tray out and putting it back and the dot would come right back on so its a V4 but apparently while shooting the connection was never made and the dot stayed off. It worked for the last 4 stages without issue but this does not inspire confidence it the optic.
  16. I just bought a gun from Atlas that has one on it and really like it. I have the PT textured grips on both of my limited guns and it is hit or miss how much fitting is required, I had to do a lot of work on one to make it fit. Seems the frame specs vary enough that you just don't know until you try it, also with the Evo the back of the frame near the beavertail is probably going to require blending.
  17. Even with a 15lb you should not have any issue with domestic primers, I run a 17lb spring have no problems with CCI small rifle primers.
  18. I thought that Sig had introduced a p320 Competition model at Shot show last year. It had a longer barrel, adjustable rear sight, and the magwell was beveled. I thought it looked like it would be a nice option for a production gun.
  19. Well you are comparing apples and oranges. I like STI and have a couple myself but I also know how much parts cost to build a custom limited gun. With a metal grip I had about over 2k in the parts alone and that is what my Edge cost new. The metal vs plastic grip is purely preference as others have said. I switched to metal because I liked the balance of the gun better.
  20. I have both, If you are looking for Limited Gun the Edge is the better choice if both are 5" guns. I cant say about the 6" Eagles I have never shot one. I use my bushing barrel Eagle for IDPA. I did not like switching platforms so I shoot a 2011 for everything. My Eagle is very accurate and being a 40 it can be used as a backup Limited gun and shooting minor for ESP it is super soft shooting. There are several choices for full dust cover Limited guns, stock Edge, Brazos tuned Edge, semi custom CK guns, or a used full custom. Buying and Edge and upgrading is the option a lot of us have taken, that way when you decide to build a full custom you will know more about how you want to build it.
  21. Typically 180s are 180-181 some will be 179 but the variance has never caused any accuracy issues. As long as you are not cutting it close for PF they are consistent enough.
  22. Welcome, there are several USPSA clubs around. This time of year some don't hold matches. GRB at Cavalier will have a match the 3rd Saturday of every month as long as there is now snow or ice.
  23. Very nice. I have watched Kcobean run his and they are vey flat shooting.
  24. What Racinready said , or its people who want to build a 3 gun pistol but want to shoot limited in USPSA. I like 9mm I have a 2011 in 9mm but its for open. If you want to shoot the division set up the equipment to suit the division.
